deering-goodtime-g6sr-six-r-6-string-banjo-1
Deering Goodtime G6SR Six-R 6-String Banjo

The new Goodtime Six-R banjo comes hot on the heels of the very popular Goodtime Six open back banjo, but with a few additional features making the Goodtime Six-R ready for the big stage both in looks and in build.

Most notably, the Goodtime Six-R features a radiused midnight maple finger board, offering the player a striking contrast to the normal blonde of the hard rock maple neck.

Tonally, the Goodtime Six-R is elevated by the addition of a maple resonator behind it's 11” 3-ply violin grade maple rim. Like any banjo, the addition of a resonator not only creates a hollow sound chamber, but also provides a flat surface for the sound to bounce off and project forward towards the players audience, instead of being absorbed by their body. The result is a significantly fuller, clearer and more vibrant tone.

Strings come courtesy of Elixir's XL bronze set, while other features include 6 high quality guitar style tuners, 26 ¼” scale length, ovangkol block inlays, a Deering designed Goodtime 6 string tailpiece and frosted top head.

The Goodtime Six banjos were not designed to replace the guitar, but rather complement it. It affords guitarists the chance to play what they already know with unimaginably creative results.

Serial Number: 092426-21

Weight: 6.8 lbs

NECK:

Blonde Slender Rock Maple Neck

Midnight Maple Fingerboard with a 15” Radius

1 11/16th Nut Width

Fast, Sleek and Comfortable Neck Profile

22 Pressed In Nickel Silver Frets

Classic Block Style Hardwood Inlays

2 Way Adjustable Truss Rod

Sealed Geared Tuners

Elixir XL Strings (10, 14, 23, 30, 39, 47)

Durable Satin Finish

6 Strings Tuned Like a Guitar

TONE:

Easy to play with clarity of note separation and round full bodied tone.

DIMENSIONS:

1 11/16″ Nut Width

Scale Length Nut to Bridge 26 1/4″

Rim Diameter 11″

Overall Instrument Length 37 1/2″

Weight Approx. 4.5 lbs

POT:

Blonde 3-ply Violin Grade Maple Rim

Steel Tension Hoop

11″ Frosted Top High Crown Head

5/8″ Maple/Ebony Goodtime Smile Bridge

16 Flat Hooks with 9/32″ Nuts

16 Bracket Shoes with Screw Attachments

Goodtime Six Tailpiece

Steel Coordinator Rod for Adjustments

Durable Satin Finish

Goodtime Armrest

RESONATOR

Resonator of Blonde Maple

Black Binding

Durable Satin Finish

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0692/6703/files/IMG_8349_464ffa90-4d00-465d-b47c-5476de77a143.jpg?v=1792099768
