Musicians like “New.” We like “Innovative.” We like “First.” So it should really come as no surprise that so many of us like the groundbreaking elements of the DigiTech SDRUM (pronounced “STRUM.”). This stomp box, ideally suited for guitarists and bass players, provides intelligent drum accompaniment for practice or performance in a very unique way. It’s also a composer’s best friend.
DigiTech SDRUM Drum Machine Pedal Features
Strummable Drums Never before have you been able to direct your drum machine what to play by simply scratching the strings of your guitar or bass. This simple motion lays the groundwork for a kick and snare pattern from which SDRUM intelligently fleshes out a full groove, complete with embellishments and variations. The drumbeat emanates from you organically while you’re creating music, rather than having to stop the creative process to select from an endless array of drum patterns listed on an LCD screen or computer display. At Your Fingertips (or Toes) With storage for up to 36 different songs (enough for most gigs), the DigiTech SDRUM even creates three separate parts for each song. This allows you to switch on-the-fly between a verse, chorus or bridge. These variations can be strummed in by the player or auto-generated by SDRUM. Variation In addition to the amount of beats being limited only by your imagination, SDRUM has 12 different styles of hi-hat and ride cymbals, allowing for practically endless combinations. 5 great-sounding drum kits (the collection includes “E-Pop” and “Brush” kits for increased variety) allow you to match the sound of your rhythms to the style of song you’re performing. Fun Fact One of the most important aspects of the DigiTech SDRUM is how much fun it actually is! It takes the drudge out of practicing and actually inspires you while performing or composing. You’ll never have to break your creative flow to program anything or search for patterns that don’t really fit. There are also Kick and Snare pads, in case manually tapping in a beat is your thing. Connections SDRUM provides a smart selection of jacks to keep everything routed where it should go. In addition to an input for guitar or bass, there is an output that sends just the guitar signal to an amplifier, and Left and Right outputs that assign the drums to a PA or recording system. JamSync™ Connectivity Interfacing with JamMan loopers for even fuller accompaniment is easy, thanks to the JamSync™ jack. SDRUM also supports the DigiTech FS3X footswitch to control additional features such as remote tempo changes, song part selection and other parameters.
