The Fender Custom Shop Limited-Edition P90 Telecaster is a muscular take in a familiar shape, merging Kalamazoo and California sounds. Sometimes, when two worlds collide, a new universe is born— one that's familiar and funky at the same time. In this case, the twang is still there, but with a warmer bark and punch, thanks to the hand-wound neck position P90. The Loaded ’51 Nocaster in the bridge supplies the shimmer, but is overwound for a more robust sound.
As always, the build on a Custom Shop guitar is meticulous. This Tele has a mahogany body that's chambered, so you'll get the magical tonal qualities of the wood without the weight. It sports a Journeyman Relic finish, giving the appearance of an instrument that's been played sparingly over the years. That won't be the case when you grab the neck—the beauty of the roasted AAA flame maple is only bested by its feel. This Custom Telecaster also keeps it classic with an AAA rosewood fretboard; chrome/nickel hardware gives it regal appeal. The Limited-Edition P90 Tele comes with a certificate of authenticity and a Fender Custom deluxe hardshell case.
