This new addition to the Zildjian “A” Family is a sonic recreation of the vintage "A" sound from the 1950's. Each cymbal in this collection delivers immense musicality and features a thin, loose, played-in feel with a great balance of bright and dark overtones. The A Avedis HiHats feature a Medium Thin bottom cymbal that is a little bit heavier than the Thin top in order to deliver that prominent chick sound.
We added a variety of intricate details to make this collection truly something special including its timeless, individual "aged" patina to the classy and understated "Avedis" logo, to the original hollow "Zildjian" logo underneath.
Zildjian Constantinople Bounce Rides

The K Constantinople Bounce Ride is the result of a collaboration with jazz artist Kenny Washington, and recreates the specs of an old, classic K gifted to him in the 1970's by late jazz great Mel Lewis. While replicating the higher curvature and narrower, wider spaced lathing style, a new cup design was created to best resemble that of Kenny's old K. This 20" size features slightly smaller hammer clusters and a slightly higher pitch than the 22", with plenty of wash and sustain that rides over the band and cuts through most small-to-big band settings.

Developed in conjunction with leading drum stylist Akira Jimbo, the Zildjian K Kustom Hybrid Crash cymbal features an innovative brilliant/traditional surface that produces different tones depending on where the cymbal is played for a musical "darkness with brilliance" combination. The inner half features the unlathed, brilliant finish of the K Custom Ride, while the outer half features the traditionally finished K Zildjian lathing. The unlathed section helps control the wash and sustain, making it ideal for recording and live situations.
The relatively thin design of the crash results in a very responsive quality. It opens up quickly but still has the ability to project loudly and cut into dense mixes due to the unlathed bell.
