Fender Custom Shop designers met Donal Gallagher, brother of late great guitarist Rory Gallagher, in Los Angeles in 1997 and received one of the most coveted guitars of all time - Gallagher's heavily worn 1961 Stratocaster® guitar. Fender initially built 40 replicas for European sale, but was subsequently besieged with requests for more. The Rory Gallagher Tribute Stratocaster guitar is an exact replica of that revered instrument, down to the extremely worn Three-color Sunburst alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It even has five Sperzel® tuners and one Gotoh® tuner, and the 12th-fret dot marker is white plastic rather than the original clay. It also features three custom-wound '60s single-coil pickups, aged chrome hardware, 21 medium jumbo frets and a synthetic bone nut. Our homage to a true and truly missed master.

If there were a Mount Rushmore of Stratocaster Masters, Stevie Ray Vaughan would be one of the greats enshrined there. Almost single-handedly responsible for the electric blues revival of the 80s and 90s, he used his beloved Strat®, to blaze his way to the top of the charts. Only the artisans at the Custom Shop could craft this guitar that Vaughan co-designed with us before his untimely passing. It’s one of the most revered guitars in the world, and we’re proud to make it a permanent addition to the Custom Artist Collection.
SRV heavily modified his Strat to match his energetic, yet controlled, playing style. We included a trio of hot, high-output Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special pickups for fiery, authentically Fender tone that’s as big as the Lone Star state. As an homage to his personal hero, Jimi Hendrix (who’s also been known to pick up a Strat) SRV used a left-handed vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge on his guitar, allowing him to work the tremolo arm with his elbow—a modification we cheerfully recreated. The two-piece body is crafted from alder selected for its weight and grain, and its Relic lacquer finish will age and wear in a distinctly personal way, just like the original. The tinted riftsawn maple neck has an “Oval C” profile that’s slightly thinner on the treble side, making it easier to bend those strings into the stratosphere—a precise recreation of his favorite guitar’s neck profile.
Other features include 5-way pickup switching, vintage-style wiring, 3-ply Black “SRV” pickguard, vintage-style tuning machines, rosewood fingerboard, bone nut and wing string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.

**This guitar is used and in excellent condition. Little to no signs of wear can be found on the guitar. The COA booklet button is broken; its contents are in good condition. Was recently setup by one of our techs. Comes with the original hardshell case. The price has been adjusted accordingly.
1959 saw the advent of several important feature changes to the Stratocaster® including a slab rosewood fingerboard with clay position dots, a three-ply mint green pickguard with 8, 9 or 10 screws depending on the month it was built, and a metal spacer added to the string tree. This hardtail version would have been on the rare side, which ups the collectability and cool factors. This guitar features a hand-selected two-piece alder body and a rift-sawn maple neck with a 1959 “D” profile, a vintage compound-radius (7.25” - 9.5”) rosewood fingerboard and 21 medium vintage frets.
Hand-wound 1959 Strat pickups are wired to a vintage ’59 control assembly and five-way switch. Other features include Closet Classic hardware, three-ply eight-hole mint green pickguard, vintage-style hardtail bridge with patent pending saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and wing string tree with metal spacer. Available in Faded Aged Sonic Blue and Chocolate Three-Color Sunburst finishes. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.

1967’s Summer of Love and Flower Power movement influenced mainstream fashions worldwide, and Fender was on board with its new Blue Flower and Paisley Telecasters. Oddly enough, the guitars became more popular with rockabilly and country western players (they were adopted most famously by Tele master James Burton) rather than the flower children that helped inspire them. These guitars have earned a special place in Fender history, and the Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom 1968 Blue Flower and Paisley Tele models are faithful recreations of those original instruments.
The two-piece select alder body wears an NOS lacquer finish with WLS undercoat over the famous Paisley or Blue Flower motif. The rift-sawn maple neck has a ’60-style “oval C” profile, topped by a round-lam rift-sawn maple fingerboard with 7.25”-9.5” vintage compound radius and 21 medium vintage frets for a comfortable feel up and down. Hand-wound ’67 Tele pickups meet the exact spec for that year, with a three-way switch and modern Tele wiring. Other features include an eight-hole clear polyurethane pickguard, ’67 Tele bridge with threaded steel saddles, Schaller® “F” tuning machines, bone nut, and wing string tree. Deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity included.
