Metallica fans worldwide are familiar with Kirk Hammett's 1979 Flying V. It was Kirk's first Gibson and established his passion for Gibson guitars. Its purchase was inspired by famous Flying V players Kirk admired and because he was looking for a fuller sound. And what a sound! Kirk still plays the original guitar to this day, and used it on all the early Metallica albums, including Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All, and The Black Album, making it one of the most important heavy metal guitars of all time. Only 200 were hand-made by the expert luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, artfully aged to match the original by the Murphy Lab. The included Certificate of Authenticity photo is signed by Kirk Hammett himself.

One of the most iconic guitars in history is Jimmy Page’s Gibson EDS-1275 doubleneck. The images of him playing it on stage with Led Zeppelin are indelible to rock ’n’ roll history. Gibson has made doubleneck electric guitars since 1958, but Jimmy defined the model from the moment his EDS-1275 was delivered to him, allowing him to play the acoustic and electric 6-string and 12-string parts of Stairway to Heaven at live performances and later using it for The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Celebration Day, Tangerine, and more recently at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November 2023. Made in close collaboration and with significant input from Jimmy Page, this very special Collector’s Edition replication uses new 3D scanning technology and ultra-precise Murphy Lab aging techniques to aid in hand-crafting an effective clone of Jimmy Page’s original guitar. Every single detail has been thoughtfully replicated, from the exact playing wear to the sonic character. Only 50 Collector’s Edition replications have been created by the expert luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, and artfully aged to match the original by the Murphy Lab as part of this extraordinary Collector's Edition run honoring both the guitar and the legendary guitarist who first made it famous, Jimmy Page.
A lavish collection of case candy curated by Jimmy Page—a Certificate of Authenticity Book with photo taken by Barrie Wentzell, a wooden Pick Display with Herco® Flex pick played by Jimmy Page on the specific serialized guitar, a Premium Cherry/Black Leather Strap & Vintage Replica Strap, Schaller Strap Locks, an Embroidered Dragon Guitar Shroud, and a Gibson Doubleneck Stand—are also included.

The story of "Greeny" is shrouded in mystery, but few guitars are as illustrious. Greeny is one of the most iconic original Les Paul Standards ever made, with a unique sound as recognizable as the guitar itself. Previously owned by Peter Green, it was used throughout his time with Fleetwood Mac and later sold to Gary Moore, who used it for three decades with Thin Lizzy and as a solo artist. Now owned by Kirk Hammett, Greeny has passed through the hands of three legendary guitarists. Its distinctive sound is partly from the out-of-phase middle switch position due to the neck pickup's reversed magnetic polarity. The Kirk Hammett "Greeny" Les Paul Standard was inspired by this legendary guitar and gives players around the world the opportunity to experience some of the magic of "Greeny" for themselves. An Original Series hardshell case is included.
