The Gibson John Lennon J-160E Peace Acoustic-Electric Guitar is replica of Lennon's 1962 J-160E, which he used extensively in films and recordings. The reissue features an antique natural finish, laminated spruce top, ladder-top bracing, a P-90 pickup, authentic wood body binding, and a signature truss rod cover. It perfectly re-creates Lennon's Gibson axe as it appeared during 1969's Bed-In after stripping off the psychedelic paint job he commissioned in 1967. It's historically accurate right down to the strap based on the one John used. The original Gibson guitar is now displayed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this re-creation is offered as a limited, numbered edition of 750.

Nick Lucas was one of the most popular American entertainers in the world in the 1920s. Known as The Crooning Troubadour, he performed on the vaudeville circuit, played solo and also played jazz with big bands, played command performances for European royalty, and was among the very first musicians to play and record guitar solos. He was also one of the first radio stars to perform with a guitar, and his recordings influenced the likes of Merle Travis. Today, his artistry is recognized as contributing to the popularity of the guitar, which is perfect for vocal accompaniment and an excellent solo instrument. Frank Campbell, Gibson’s General Sales Manager at the time, approached Lucas and tried to convince him to switch to playing Gibson guitars. Lucas said he would–if Gibson would build one to his specifications, and Gibson readily agreed. The result was the Nick Lucas Special, which was introduced in 1926 and was Gibson’s first artist signature model. One of the things that Lucas requested was a compact but deeper body for better bass response. The Nick Lucas Special went through a range of variations in body woods, bridges, and other features, but they all had a deeper body in common, which contributes to the model’s unique voice, which is rich and surprisingly full and complex for a small-bodied instrument.
Now, Gibson Custom is proud to introduce the 1929 Nick Lucas Special Light Aged. Based on those early artist models, the mahogany body has a similar shape as the Gibson L-00, but it is significantly deeper, with an approximate 4.082” body depth at the head and 4.52” depth at the tail. The bound body features multi-ply top binding with gold sparkle and multi-ply back binding. The top is thermally aged red spruce, and the L-2 style rosette also features gold sparkle, which is one of the visual hallmarks of the Nick Lucas Special. The mahogany neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has a C-shaped profile. The bound rosewood fretboard is equipped with 20 frets and is adorned with mother-of-pearl Nick Lucas inlays with engraved details. Gold Waverly tuners with ivoroid oval buttons are installed on the headstock, which also features a vintage-style “The Gibson” logo in mother-of-pearl. The rosewood rectangular open slot bridge has a bone saddle, and the nut and bridge pins are also bone. The Argentine Grey finish features Light Aging from the artisans of the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Light Aged finish treatment, paired with lightly aged hardware, simulates decades of light play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era. The 1929 Nick Lucas Special Light Aged comes packed in a red line-style hardshell case. Here’s your opportunity to own one of the most distinctive-sounding acoustic guitars that Gibson has ever produced–a small-bodied masterpiece with serious depth and a big sound to match.

Introduced in a square-shoulder configuration in 1962, the Country Western was originally created in 1955 as a variation of the popular Gibson Southern Jumbo model. With the body shape of a Hummingbird™ but in a Natural finish and having an unadorned tortoise pickguard instead of the Hummingbird’s casted, graphics-enhanced pickguard, the Country Western delivers wonderful tonal quality and a unique look that has been a resounding hit with players from the moment it was first released, all the way up to the present day; it has been one of our most requested acoustic models for reissue since the 1990s.
This 1963 Country Western features a thermally aged Sitka spruce top that is supported with Gibson’s traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing for vintage-inspired tone, solid mahogany back and sides with multi-ply top and back binding, a mahogany neck with a 24.75” (628.65 mm) scale length, round profile, and a bound Indian rosewood fretboard with a 12” fretboard radius, 20 standard frets, and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. The neck’s compound dovetail neck-to-body joint is fitted using hot hide glue. The rosewood bridge is a traditional belly-up design, and the bridge saddle, nut, and bridge pins are all bone, and the classic Country Western tortoise pickguard is aged. The tuning machines are smooth-turning, aged nickel Gotoh® tuners with white buttons for solid tuning stability. The 1963 Country Western features heavy aging by the artisans of the Murphy Lab to give it the vibe, look, and playing feel of a well-loved, longtime musical companion. Expect a heavy weather-checked finish, heavy belt buckle wear, light arm wear, and light neck wear. Here’s your chance to own one of Gibson’s most requested vintage acoustic guitar models, with all the tone, vibe, playability, and appearance of a well-seasoned vintage original without the vintage price tag and potential issues that can accompany a sixty-year-old guitar. A period-correct black with goldenrod interior hardshell case from Gibson Custom is included, along with a certificate of authenticity.

The guitar that started the legacy of Gibson Jumbo acoustics. When Gibson released the Jumbo in 1934, it was larger than any other guitar Gibson offered, and it made for a remarkable instrument. Only built for two production years, these rare instruments quickly became artist favorites and best represent the Gibson sound heard by world-renowned artists and collectors. Thoughtfully recreated with a Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top, hot hide glue top bracing, mahogany back and sides, traditional 25'' scale length, and a historic-style V neck profile, the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop is proud to bring back a legend, the 1934 Jumbo.

During a time when cultural optimism was low, Gibson dreamed up a new line of "advanced" instruments; included in those models was the Advanced Jumbo. Due to low production numbers from 1936-1939, this model largely flew under the radar even though it was a supreme sounding and performing instrument. The Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop is pleased to once again offer the Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo, outfitted with a Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and premium Waverly tuners. The 1936 Advanced Jumbo brings back all the tone and prestige that made these such a sought-after instrument by artist and collectors.

Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll, was an owner and frequent user of multiple Gibson SJ-200 acoustic guitars - the "King of the Flat-Tops." The new Gibson Elvis SJ-200 is based on a guitar that was given to Elvis as a gift at a recording session at RCA Studio B in Nashville in the mid-1960s. The Elvis SJ-200 features a maple back, sides, and neck, as well as a Sitka spruce top. It also has all of the attractive SJ-200 touches, including mother of pearl inlays, and the iconic Moustache™ bridge and graduated crown inlays, and comes equipped with an LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup. This Super 400 is 1 of 2 handcarved by Rick Henrichson of the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee. See below Rick's words on the inspiration of this guitar.
"My version of a Gibson Master Museum L-7 originally created by Ren Ferguson. The original had a spruce top however these have flamed maple top and backs. The shield design is representative of a coat of arms with surrounding carvings being scrollwork and acanthus found in many forms throughout the centuries. Fingerboard and headstock inlays remain true to the original design. The neck heel carve flows with the beauty and grace of the artwork in that time period."

Tom Petty needs no introduction. Both solo and with his band the Heartbreakers, he created some of the most beloved and enduring music of the rock era. The original SJ-200 Wildflower was a one-off that was built for Tom during the Wildflowers era in the 1990s. Now Gibson is proud to release the Tom Petty SJ-200 Wildflower, which was inspired by Tom's original. Featuring all of the classic SJ-200 ornamentation you'd expect, it is equipped with a AAA Sitka spruce top, highly figured quilted maple back and sides, and the neck is flamed maple. It has gold Grover® Imperial® tuners, as well as an LR Baggs™ VTC under-saddle pickup with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, making it stage-ready, right out of the included custom Wildflower case. Personalized touches including the Wildflower logo in Mother of Pearl on the headstock, "You Belong Among the Wildflowers" lyric decal on the back of the headstock, and Tom Petty's signature engraved on the double pickguard make this a very special guitar. While the Gibson J-185 may not have achieved the same universal name recognition as models like the J-45™M, SJ-200™, and Hummingbird™, it has long held a special place among knowledgeable players, who consider it one of the best-sounding acoustic guitars Gibson has ever made. Originally released in 1951, the J-185's body outline drew inspiration from the celebrated 1920s L-5 models, sharing much of their silhouette and proportions. Slightly more compact than an SJ-200 and built with the familiar 24.75" scale length also found on the J-45 and Hummingbird, the J-185 carved out a tonal identity that has made it a favorite for decades.
Gibson now introduces a fresh interpretation of this beloved platform: the J-185 Century 12-Fret. It carries forward many of the hallmark appointments that define the classic J-185, but the shift to a
12-fret neck-to-body joint sets it apart from the standard 14-fret design. This configuration shortens the neck and moves the bridge plate farther from the waist and closer to the body's widest point, enhancing top movement and improving playing comfort. The result is a warm, lively, and responsive voice that especially suits fingerstyle players and anyone with a lighter, nuanced touch.
Because any J-185 variant is relatively uncommon, let alone 12-fret versions, this new model gives a much wider audience the chance to experience the tonal character that only a 12-fret jumbo can offer. As part of the Century Collection, created to mark 100 Years of Gibson Flat-Tops, the J-185
Century 12-Fret pairs a mahogany body with a Sitka spruce top and is outlined with single-ply cream binding on the top and back.
Its mahogany neck features a fast, comfortable Slim Taper™ 12-Fret profile and is joined to the body at the 12th fret using a compound dovetail neck joint secured with hot hide glue, consistent with Gibson acoustic build tradition. The bound rosewood fingerboard hosts 19 frets and understated mother-of-pearl dot inlays.
The headstock showcases open-back Golden Age strap tuners with cream buttons, along with an early-1900s Gibson script logo decal that reinforces the vintage aesthetic. Complementing these details is a sloped rectangle closed-slot rosewood bridge reminiscent of early -45 instruments.
Bone is used for both the nut and saddle, while the bridge pins are TUSQ®. The J-185 Century
12-Fret is fitted with a Gibson oval teardrop pickguard and finished with a hand-applied satin nitrocellulose lacquer in Vintage Amber, Vintage Sunburst, or Ebony. It ships in a premium Century Collection tweed hardshell case and is offered in both right-handed and left-handed configurations.
Pick up a J-185 Century 12-Fret and discover the expressive, full-bodied sound that only a 12-fret Gibson jumbo can deliver.
