This is it - one of the rarest and most desirable guitars ever made, brought back through the magic and artistry of the Gibson Custom Shop. The Gibson Flying V™ was way ahead of its time when it was introduced in 1958, and only 81 were shipped that year, but it has become very popular in the years since then. All of the classic vintage Flying V features have been 100% accurately recreated in this Collector's Edition model, right down to the cases, which are just as historically accurate as the guitars themselves. Featuring an ABR-1 bridge with a string-through korina body, Custombucker pickups, korina neck, Brazilian rosewood fretboard, two volume and one tone control with CTS® pots and a phone book capacitor, gold hardware, Kluson® tuners, and a 4-ply off-white pickguard, with an extra black pickguard and jackplate set in the case. It also features Custom Aging by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Custom Aged finish treatment, paired with Custom Aged hardware, simulates decades of light play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era. This limited run of 81 guitars is available only in the USA.

Gibson Custom 1962 ES-330 Reissue Electric Guitar - Sixties Cherry

Gibson instruments have evolved in subtle ways throughout their histories, and the ES-330™ is no exception. First launched in 1959, the model underwent several updates by the time 1962 arrived. Although it shares clear DNA with its close relative, the Epiphone Casino™, the ES-330 actually came first, with the Casino debuting in 1961. After an eight-year pause, Gibson Custom is pleased to reintroduce the 1962 ES-330 Reissue as a core offering within the Gibson Custom Historic Reissue Collection.

This new 1962 ES-330 Reissue features a fully hollow, thinline body constructed from three-ply maple/poplar/maple. Unlike the visually similar ES-335, the ES-330 does not incorporate a maple centerblock, which gives it a more open, resonant character, as well as impressive acoustic presence when played unplugged. It remains one of the most enjoyable and inspiring electric guitars to pick up casually and play acoustically at home.

Its one-piece mahogany neck is shaped to a Slim Taper™ 60s C profile, a sleeker and less rounded feel compared to the 1959 ES-330 examples. A bound, one-piece rosewood fretboard carries 22 period-correct medium jumbo frets and features cellulose small-block inlays in place of the simpler dot markers found on earlier variants. True to 1962 specifications, the neck meets the body at the 16th fret, a detail that ensures ideal bridge placement.

A set of P-90 pickups with black Dogear covers drives the 1962 ES-330 Reissue. The bridge unit uses standard windings paired with an Alnico 3 magnet, while the neck pickup is underwound and fitted with an Alnico 5 magnet, producing a complementary and well-balanced tonal partnership. Each pickup is wired by hand to its own volume and tone controls, using CTS® potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors. A Switchcraft® three-way selector and 1/4" output jack round out the electronics.

As with any fully hollow instrument, increased gain or extreme stage volume can induce feedback more readily than on solidbody or semi-hollow guitars. Still, the ES-330 remains surprisingly manageable with moderate overdrive, and its responsiveness under careful right and left-hand muting creates a singing, expressive voice that sets it apart. Its strengths span Americana, blues, 60s pop, country, jazz, rock, and more.

Additional historically accurate elements include nickel hardware, a Historic no-wire ABR-1 bridge, a trapeze tailpiece, a nylon nut, Kluson® Deluxe tuners, an ES-330 multi-ply pickguard, and black Top Hat knobs with silver inserts and dial pointers. The VOS finish on the hardware and gloss nitrocellulose lacquer imparts the softly aged character of a pristine vintage instrument preserved through the decades.

We're excited to welcome the 1962 ES-330 Reissue back into the Gibson Custom Historic lineup and look forward to the music today's players will create with it. A Lifton ™ hardshell case is included for secure storage and travel.

Gibson Custom proudly unveils the 1971 Flying VT Medallion Reissue, an exactingly crafted tribute to one of Gibson's most celebrated vintage solidbody models and a guitar that played a pivotal role in defining hard rock.Closely associated with Michael Schenker's unmistakable tone, original examples are also well represented in Kirk Hammett's personal collection; he has described them as "consistently great."

The 1971 Flying V Medallion Reissue features a two-piece mahogany body constructed to the same thinner profile used on the original Medallion models. At approximately 1.375" thick, it is slightly slimmer than the 1.5" Korina Flying V bodies from 1958, resulting in reduced weight and a more comfortable playing experience without sacrificing tone or resonance.

Its three-piece mahogany neck is carved to an Authentic 1971 Flying V profile, offering a sleek, fast feel that remains comfortable across the entire fingerboard. A period-correct volute adds structural stability, while a one-piece rosewood fretboard carries 22 authentic medium jumbo frets and classic cellulose dot inlays. The rounded Flying V headstock is fitted with a Corian® nut, Kluson® double-ring tuners with keystone buttons, and a truss rod cover bearing the Gibson logo. Chrome-plated hardware is used throughout, including the Historic Reissue wired ABR-1 bridge and Historic Reissue Stop Bar tailpiece.

Electronics consist of a matched pair of authentic T-Top humbucker™ pickups with Alnico 5 magnets, delivering the clear, authoritative output that vintage T-Tops are known for. As on the original guitars, the pickups are left unpotted and are hand-wired to independent volume controls and a single master tone control. All three controls feature black Witch Hat knobs with silver reflectors for a true period look.

In keeping with the original Medallion Flying Vs, this reissue includes a 1.5" diameter gold medallion mounted on the bass-side wing of the body. Each medallion displays the Gibson logo and Limited Edition Model text and is individually numbered. The guitar is housed in a Gibson Custom hardshell case for protection and transport.

The 1971 Flying V Medallion is widely regarded as one of the most desirable vintage Gibson guitar models ever produced. With an estimated production run of only about 350 instruments in 1971, scarcity has played a role in its legend, but its enduring appeal also stems from its association with some of rock music's most influential guitarists. Originally created to commemorate the 1972 Olympic Games, each Medallion V featured a numbered gold coin mounted to the upper wing. These guitars were among Gibson's earliest Limited Edition offerings and, apart from the recent Michael Schenker 1971 Fling V Collector's Edition, have not been reissued until now. This release offers a rare chance to own a brand-new recreation of a true Gibson icon.

In celebration of 100 Years of Gibson Flat-Tops, Gibson Custom is proud to introduce the Advanced Jumbo Anniversary Limited Edition. Part of a special Anniversary Collection of five iconic acoustic models, with only 100 guitars of each model available, this stunning and collectible Advanced Jumbo is crafted under the big skies of Bozeman, Montana, and built to inspire for generations.  

The Advanced Jumbo Anniversary Limited Edition features rosewood back and sides paired with a select bear claw Sitka spruce top, delivering not only classic Advanced Jumbo tone, but also exceptional beauty. The back is framed by multi-ply binding. The top features multi-ply binding with abalone and an abalone rosette. 

The mahogany neck has a Historic AJ™ profile. The bound rosewood fretboard is equipped with 19 standard frets and adorned with mother-of-pearl arrow inlays. The single-ply bound headstock proudly displays the vintage script-style “The Gibson” logo, which is also inlaid in mother of pearl. The headstock comes equipped with a bone nut and gold-plated Grover® open-back tuning machines. 

The Advanced Jumbo features a firestripe pickguard. The rectangular, closed-slot rosewood bridge is equipped with a bone saddle and TUSQ® bridge pins and features pyramid carvings on the bridge wings, just like the earliest Gibson flat-top models.  

The Advanced Jumbo Anniversary Limited Edition is finished in a historic Cremona Burst gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and comes craftory-equipped with L.R. Baggs™ VTC electronics, with a piezo under-saddle sensor and active preamp. The soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls are easily accessible by the player while remaining all but invisible to the audience. It comes packaged in a Gibson Custom hardshell case, along with a Certificate of Authenticity. 

The Advanced Jumbo was first released in 1936 as part of a line of “advanced” instruments with enlarged body dimensions that delivered increased volume, projection, and improved bass response. Initially produced for only three years, the model’s relatively low production numbers meant it largely flew under the radar for many players, despite being a superb-sounding and performing instrument. Today, vintage Advanced Jumbo models are among the most highly valued, most desirable, and arguably the best-sounding vintage acoustic guitars in the world. He has two previous Gibson and Epiphone signature models—an SG™ and Casino™—each capturing a piece of his sonic identity. Now, Gibson Custom, in partnership with Gary Clark Jr., is very proud to introduce the Gary Clark Jr. ES-355. Inspired by the moment he first saw B.B. King wielding one on stage, Clark’s ES-355 has become his new number-one guitar.

The Gary Clark Jr. ES-355 features a three-ply maple/poplar/maple body with a figured maple outer layer, a mahogany neck with a 50s Rounded Medium C profile, and a bound ebony fretboard equipped with 22 Historic medium jumbo frets and adorned with mother-of-pearl block inlays. The body has multi-ply top and back binding, and the headstock is also multi-ply bound and features the Custom split diamond inlay in mother-of-pearl and is equipped with Grover® Rotomatic® with Kidney button tuners. 

The Gary Clark Jr. ES-355 is powered by a pair of unpotted Custombucker pickups with Alnico 3 magnets that are wired to CTS® audio taper potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors, along with a Switchcraft® three-way toggle switch and 1/4” output jack. The volume and tone controls are topped with black Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors and equipped with dial pointers. A mono Varitone control with a black chicken head knob provides even more tonal versatility. 

The hardware is VOS nickel, including the ABR-1 Historic no-wire bridge, and the guitar is finished in a striking VOS Cobra Burst finish. A Bigsby® B7 Vibrato adds additional expressiveness. The included Gibson Custom hardshell case has a brown exterior, black plush interior, and Gary Clark Jr. graphics on the exterior. Part of the Gibson Custom Limited Edition Collection, it represents the adventurous spirit that has defined countless Made to Measure custom orders and celebrates the skill and imagination of the artisans at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee. This reissue channels the unmistakable charisma of a late 50s Les Paul, then elevates it with a dazzling Gold Sparkle finish and a unique electronic configuration that gives it a sonic identity all its own.

The solidbody construction begins with a mahogany back and a carved maple top, joined with the same precision and using the same materials as those used on prized originals from the late 50s. Its VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish brings a softly aged character that enhances the Gold Sparkle top’s depth and dimension, while the single ply top binding completes the classic Les Paul silhouette. There’s no weight relief—just the full, expressive resonance of traditional tonewoods working in harmony.

The mahogany neck’s 1950s Chunky D profile delivers the substantial feel players associate with some of the best examples from 1957, with a long neck tenon that reinforces sustain and stability. A rosewood fretboard with narrow/tall frets, cellulose trapezoid inlays, single ply binding, and a 12 inch radius offers an inviting, vintage correct playing experience. The 24.75-inch scale length, nylon nut, and Kluson® Deluxe tuning machines round out a period-authentic feature set.

What truly sets this Limited Edition model apart is its use of TV Jones® Power’Tron pickups. While a 1957 Les Paul Reissue is typically voiced with Custombucker humbuckers designed to replicate Patent Applied For pickups, the Power’Tron delivers a distinctive sound of its own. Its tonal character carries some of the familiar DNA of a Patent Applied For humbucking pickup, infused with elements found in a TV Jones Filter’Tron, but with more windings, higher output, and a darker overall response than a Filter’Tron. The result is a compelling hybrid voice—full, articulate, dynamic, and well-suited to the Les Paul’s rich acoustic foundation. Two volume and two tone controls, along with a three-way toggle, provide familiar, intuitive control of this unique sonic palette.
