The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble delivers all of the features and performance of our regular Les Paul Standard 50s models but with even more vintage appeal. These limited-run Les Paul models differ from our standard Les Paul Standard 50s models in two respects. First, the Burstbucker™M 1 and Burstbucker 2 pickups are left uncovered, and each has Double Classic White bobbins and is fitted with the standard Alnico 2 magnets. The second difference is in the finish. The finish colors are "Vintage" variations on our standard nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. Our standard gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes represent the finishes on brand-new models from the 1950s, while the full-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer Vintage finishes on the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble models are slightly faded when compared to the standard versions, like the subtly faded light vintage aging that occurs over several years. The burst patterns vary somewhat from guitar to guitar since each is individually hand-sprayed.
Of course, all of the standard features that make the Les Paul Standard 50s models so widelv loved are all still here, including a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body with an AA figured maple top and a rounded 50s Vintage-style mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and trapezoid inlays. The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble is equipped with an ABR-1, the classic-style Tune-O-Matic ™M bridge, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and aged gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. The uncovered, calibrated Burstbucker ™M 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are internally the same as their standard Burstbucker counterparts, with the exception of the Double Classic White bobbins. They are handcrafted in the Gibson Pickup Shop, loaded with Alnico 2 magnets, and hand-wired with audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors. The Double Classic White pickup bobbins and Vintage finishes combine to give the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble an elegant vintage vibe. While they have a vintage-style finish and an accessible price, production is limited to only 500 guitars in each color, meaning there's limited availability, so act fast and get your favorite now while you still can!

The Gibson LG-2 was first introduced in 1942 during the “Banner” era as a replacement for the earlier L-00. It was released alongside other legendary Gibson models such as the J-45™ and Southern Jumbo, and quickly became a popular small-body acoustic guitar model celebrated for its big, yet balanced sound, and which provides an excellent small-bodied alternative to larger models like the J-45.
Now, Gibson is proud to introduce the LG-2 50s Original, which brings the LG-2 model back to the Gibson lineup with features inspired by the highly coveted 1950s era models. Demand for the return of this model has been high, and fans of this small-bodied Workhorse alternative will not be disappointed. The LG-2 50s Original features solid mahogany back and sides paired with a solid Sitka spruce top that is reinforced with traditional scalloped X-bracing for rich, small body acoustic tone. The mahogany body features three-ply top and single-ply back binding. The mahogany neck features a Historic V profile and is attached to the body with a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint using hot hide glue. The neck is topped with an unbound rosewood fretboard that is equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with understated, yet classy mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The LG-2 50s Original is fitted with a sloped, rectangular, closed-slot bridge made from rosewood that is decorated with two mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The nut and saddle are both bone, while the bridge pins are TUSQ®. Grover® strap tuners with white buttons provide solid tuning stability and, along with the tortoise teardrop pickguard, add to the instrument’s vintage charm.
The LG-2 50s Original’s solid Sitka spruce top provides a livelier, brighter, and more balanced sound than some of the war-era LG-2 models that were made with mahogany tops, making it suitable for a broad range of musical genres and playing styles. The smaller physical dimensions of the LG-2 50s Original also make it an outstanding choice that is easier to hold than larger-bodied models for players of smaller stature. It also offers an attractive tonal option to larger-bodied models, making it ideal for adding alternate acoustic tones to a recording. In a nod to the recording and performance needs of today’s guitarists, the LG-2 50s Original also comes factory-equipped with an L.R. Baggs™ VTC under-saddle transducer and built-in preamp. The L.R. Baggs VTC system features soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls that are quick and convenient for the player to access while remaining all but invisible to the audience. The inclusion of high-quality discreet electronics makes the LG-2 50s Original stage and studio-ready from the moment you take it out of the included Gibson hardshell case, while taking nothing away from its attractive, vintage-inspired character and vibe. Whether you need a great small-bodied “couch guitar,” a live performance partner, or a useful new voicing to add to your arsenal of recording guitars, the LG-2 50s Original is an outstanding choice.

The Gibson LG-2 was first introduced in 1942 during the “Banner” era and quickly became a beloved small-body acoustic guitar model that was renowned for its big sound. The LG-2 was initially released with mahogany backs and sides paired with red spruce tops, but due to wartime shortages, material substitutions were common. Gibson sometimes used maple backs and sides, and LG-2 models with mahogany tops were also produced. Now, Gibson is proud to introduce the new LG-2 All-Mahogany Faded, a modern reinterpretation of those all-mahogany vintage LG-2 models. The LG-2 All Mahogany Faded is constructed using solid mahogany for the back and sides, as well as a solid mahogany soundboard. The mahogany top is reinforced with traditional scalloped X-bracing, and the body features simple black binding on the top and back. The mahogany neck features a rounded profile and is attached to the body using a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint. The neck is capped with an unbound rosewood fretboard, which is equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with classy yet straightforward mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The LG-2 All Mahogany Faded is fitted with a sloped, rectangular, closed-slot bridge made from rosewood. The bridge features a bone nut, which is also made of bone, while the bridge pins are TUSQ®. Grover® strap tuners with white buttons ensure solid tuning stability and, along with the teardrop pickguard, add to the instrument’s vintage charm.
The LG-2 All Mahogany Faded’s all-mahogany top and body give it a warmer, rounder, and smoother sound than a guitar with a similar size and a spruce top, making it an ideal choice for folk, blues, and fingerstyle playing. The LG-2 All Mahogany Faded’s smaller dimensions also make it easier to hold than acoustic guitars with larger bodies. In a nod to the needs of modern performers and recording guitarists, the LG-2 All Mahogany Faded is factory-equipped with an L.R. Baggs™ VTC under-saddle transducer and built-in preamp. The L.R. Baggs VTC system features soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls that are quick and easy for the player to access while remaining all but invisible to the audience. The inclusion of high-quality discreet electronics makes the LG-2 All Mahogany Faded stage and studio-ready from the moment you take it out of the included Gibson hardshell case, while taking nothing away from its attractive, vintage-inspired character and vibe. Whether you need a guitar for fingerpicking on the couch, performing at blues or folk festivals, or for a new and unique voicing to add to your arsenal of recording guitars, the LG-2 All Mahogany Faded should be on your “must have” list.

The music of multiple award-winning artist Margo Price transcends the boundaries of traditional country, Americana, and classic rock, and her Gibson J-45™ acoustic has always been by her side during her rise as a top country artist. Gibson Custom's Margo Price J-45 embodies the spirit, vision, and talent that has driven Margo to stardom and continues the nature-themed model tradition of Gibson. The Margo Price J-45 was inspired by her mid-60s J-45, a guitar she's called "my main baby; my guitar I play all the time." The Margo Price J-45 features a slightly thinner mahogany body with a red spruce top with traditional hand-scalloped advanced X-bracing, a mahogany neck with a Rounded profile and rosewood fretboard, and Grover® strap tuners with white buttons. The nut and saddle are bone, and the bridge pins are TUSQ®. The Margo Price J-45 also comes equipped with L.R. Baggs electronics, so it's studio and stage-ready right out of the included hardshell case. Margo was also inspired by red-tailed hawks, which feature prominently on the distinctive double 50s-style pickguards of her new signature guitar. As Margo says, "Red-tailed hawks have always been symbolistic to me. I see them everywhere, and I always have, as they are common all over the United States, but to me, they are otherworldly, and they always come to me in my time of need with messages of strength and perseverance. Red, as a color, relates to love, passion, and even anger, matters that we typically would associate with the heart, but if you look closely, the ends of the feathers are dipped in white, and the bird itself has a spiritual nature to them. When I'm on long road trips, I look out the window and count them alongside the highway. They pass over me at the most kismet times, reminding me to find strength in my vulnerability and to open up and connect to those around me. I hope this guitar will remind those who play it these lessons as well."

Born Iris Coleen Summers on July 7 , 1924 , Mary Ford was an accomplished guitarist, vocalist , and actress who was among the biggest recording artists of the early 1950s. Through her career in country music and her connections with Gene Autry and Eddie Dean , she developed a musical partnership with Gibson icon Les Paul that led to their marriage in 1949. In 1951 alone , the duo sold over six milion records, and between 1950 and 1954, they recorded a string of 16 top-ten hits that showcased Mary's rich, smooth voice, complex, perfectly executed harmonies that she sang along with herself through multi-track recording and overdubbing (a groundbreaking recording technique for the time), and versatile guitar playing that seamlessly blended country, jazz, and pop. In 1951, Mary and Les influenced the design of the ES-295 hollowbody with a custom order, which Mary often used. In 1958, it is believed that one Les Paul Goldtop model with an ES-295-style floral pickguard and matching armrest was made at the request of Mary Ford. Now, Gibson is proud to release the Mary Ford Les Paul Standard, based on that one-of-a-kind original. The Goldtop finish is accented by a Vintage Cherry back - rarity for a goldtop model. In addition to the cream and gold floral pickguard and armrest, it also features a mahogany body with a maple cap, mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard and SlimTaper profile, and is powered by a pair of Burstbucker pickups, with a Burstbucker 2 in the neck position and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. A hardshell case completes this offering that honors one of the most beloved and innovative artists of the 20th century.

First introduced in the early 1950s, Gibson's legendary P-90 single coil pickup produced a raw, powerful tone that helped define the blues and rock and roll in their formative years. Today, the P-90's brilliant tone is still considered a favorite among many top musicians. Now the P-90 is available in a full-range under-wound version that delivers a bit less output than a standard P-90 but with a bright tone that remains clear at any volume, with clearly defined overtones rich in harmonics, and with less dampening of string vibrations. It features two-conductor wiring and is fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of unwanted microphonic feedback.

The SG Standard ‘61 returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved -- shaping sound across generations and genres of music. And now it‘s available in custom colors.
