The Gibson John Lennon J-160E Peace Acoustic-Electric Guitar is replica of Lennon's 1962 J-160E, which he used extensively in films and recordings. The reissue features an antique natural finish, laminated spruce top, ladder-top bracing, a P-90 pickup, authentic wood body binding, and a signature truss rod cover. It perfectly re-creates Lennon's Gibson axe as it appeared during 1969's Bed-In after stripping off the psychedelic paint job he commissioned in 1967. It's historically accurate right down to the strap based on the one John used. The original Gibson guitar is now displayed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this re-creation is offered as a limited, numbered edition of 750.

Nick Lucas was one of the most popular American entertainers in the world in the 1920s. Known as The Crooning Troubadour, he performed on the vaudeville circuit, played solo and also played jazz with big bands, played command performances for European royalty, and was among the very first musicians to play and record guitar solos. He was also one of the first radio stars to perform with a guitar, and his recordings influenced the likes of Merle Travis. Today, his artistry is recognized as contributing to the popularity of the guitar, which is perfect for vocal accompaniment and an excellent solo instrument. Frank Campbell, Gibson’s General Sales Manager at the time, approached Lucas and tried to convince him to switch to playing Gibson guitars. Lucas said he would–if Gibson would build one to his specifications, and Gibson readily agreed. The result was the Nick Lucas Special, which was introduced in 1926 and was Gibson’s first artist signature model. One of the things that Lucas requested was a compact but deeper body for better bass response. The Nick Lucas Special went through a range of variations in body woods, bridges, and other features, but they all had a deeper body in common, which contributes to the model’s unique voice, which is rich and surprisingly full and complex for a small-bodied instrument.
Now, Gibson Custom is proud to introduce the 1929 Nick Lucas Special Light Aged. Based on those early artist models, the mahogany body has a similar shape as the Gibson L-00, but it is significantly deeper, with an approximate 4.082” body depth at the head and 4.52” depth at the tail. The bound body features multi-ply top binding with gold sparkle and multi-ply back binding. The top is thermally aged red spruce, and the L-2 style rosette also features gold sparkle, which is one of the visual hallmarks of the Nick Lucas Special. The mahogany neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has a C-shaped profile. The bound rosewood fretboard is equipped with 20 frets and is adorned with mother-of-pearl Nick Lucas inlays with engraved details. Gold Waverly tuners with ivoroid oval buttons are installed on the headstock, which also features a vintage-style “The Gibson” logo in mother-of-pearl. The rosewood rectangular open slot bridge has a bone saddle, and the nut and bridge pins are also bone. The Argentine Grey finish features Light Aging from the artisans of the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Light Aged finish treatment, paired with lightly aged hardware, simulates decades of light play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era. The 1929 Nick Lucas Special Light Aged comes packed in a red line-style hardshell case. Here’s your opportunity to own one of the most distinctive-sounding acoustic guitars that Gibson has ever produced–a small-bodied masterpiece with serious depth and a big sound to match.

Introduced in a square-shoulder configuration in 1962, the Country Western was originally created in 1955 as a variation of the popular Gibson Southern Jumbo model. With the body shape of a Hummingbird™ but in a Natural finish and having an unadorned tortoise pickguard instead of the Hummingbird’s casted, graphics-enhanced pickguard, the Country Western delivers wonderful tonal quality and a unique look that has been a resounding hit with players from the moment it was first released, all the way up to the present day; it has been one of our most requested acoustic models for reissue since the 1990s.
This 1963 Country Western features a thermally aged Sitka spruce top that is supported with Gibson’s traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing for vintage-inspired tone, solid mahogany back and sides with multi-ply top and back binding, a mahogany neck with a 24.75” (628.65 mm) scale length, round profile, and a bound Indian rosewood fretboard with a 12” fretboard radius, 20 standard frets, and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. The neck’s compound dovetail neck-to-body joint is fitted using hot hide glue. The rosewood bridge is a traditional belly-up design, and the bridge saddle, nut, and bridge pins are all bone, and the classic Country Western tortoise pickguard is aged. The tuning machines are smooth-turning, aged nickel Gotoh® tuners with white buttons for solid tuning stability. The 1963 Country Western features heavy aging by the artisans of the Murphy Lab to give it the vibe, look, and playing feel of a well-loved, longtime musical companion. Expect a heavy weather-checked finish, heavy belt buckle wear, light arm wear, and light neck wear. Here’s your chance to own one of Gibson’s most requested vintage acoustic guitar models, with all the tone, vibe, playability, and appearance of a well-seasoned vintage original without the vintage price tag and potential issues that can accompany a sixty-year-old guitar. A period-correct black with goldenrod interior hardshell case from Gibson Custom is included, along with a certificate of authenticity.

The guitar that started the legacy of Gibson Jumbo acoustics. When Gibson released the Jumbo in 1934, it was larger than any other guitar Gibson offered, and it made for a remarkable instrument. Only built for two production years, these rare instruments quickly became artist favorites and best represent the Gibson sound heard by world-renowned artists and collectors. Thoughtfully recreated with a Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top, hot hide glue top bracing, mahogany back and sides, traditional 25'' scale length, and a historic-style V neck profile, the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop is proud to bring back a legend, the 1934 Jumbo.

During a time when cultural optimism was low, Gibson dreamed up a new line of "advanced" instruments; included in those models was the Advanced Jumbo. Due to low production numbers from 1936-1939, this model largely flew under the radar even though it was a supreme sounding and performing instrument. The Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop is pleased to once again offer the Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo, outfitted with a Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and premium Waverly tuners. The 1936 Advanced Jumbo brings back all the tone and prestige that made these such a sought-after instrument by artist and collectors.

This Super 400 is 1 of 2 handcarved by Rick Henrichson of the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee. See below Rick's words on the inspiration of this guitar.
"My version of a Gibson Master Museum L-7 originally created by Ren Ferguson. The original had a spruce top however these have flamed maple top and backs. The shield design is representative of a coat of arms with surrounding carvings being scrollwork and acanthus found in many forms throughout the centuries. Fingerboard and headstock inlays remain true to the original design. The neck heel carve flows with the beauty and grace of the artwork in that time period."

Tom Petty needs no introduction. Both solo and with his band the Heartbreakers, he created some of the most beloved and enduring music of the rock era. Now Gibson is proud to release the Tom Petty SJ-200 Wildflower, which was inspired by Tom's original. Featuring all of the classic SJ-200 ornamentation you'd expect, it is equipped with a AAA Sitka spruce top, highly figured quilted maple back and sides, and the neck is flamed maple. It has gold Grover® Imperial® tuners, as well as an LR Baggs™ VTC under-saddle pickup with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, making it stage-ready, right out of the included custom Wildflower case. Personalized touches including the Wildflower logo in Mother of Pearl on the headstock, "You Belong Among the Wildflowers" lyric decal on the back of the headstock, and Tom Petty's signature engraved on the double pickguard make this a very special guitar. Gibson's Les Paul™ is one of the all-time great electric guitar designs and has been played by some of the world's most talented and best-loved musicians. With its single-cutaway mahogany body and often flamed maple top, the look of the Les Paul is iconic. In the past, Gibson has produced acoustic versions of the Les Paul; first, from 1969 until 1973, in the form of a Jumbo cutaway model, and from 2000 to 2003, Gibson Custom made a solidbody-style Les Paul Acoustic. Now, Gibson is proud to introduce the Les Paul Parlor Acoustic. It features a smaller, parlor-sized body that is reminiscent of a scaled-down SJ-200™M in overall shape. The back and sides of the Les Paul Parlor Acoustic are made from solid mahogany, while the bookmatched top is supported by traditional scalloped X-bracing and is made from solid AAA flame maple. Both the top and back feature single-ply cream binding. The top is every bit as gorgeous as the bookmatched tops you'll find on many of our electric models, and as with the electrics, the maple adds a bit of bite and note definition to the warm tone from the mahogany body. The mahogany neck has a comfortable and fast-playing Advanced Response profile that's neither too beefy nor too slim and is topped with a bound rosewood fretboard that has a 12" radius, is equipped with 19 standard frets, and is adorned with pearloid trapezoid inlays. The neck is attached to the body with a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint. The rosewood bridge is installed in a belly-down orientation, and the nut, saddle, and bridge pins are all TUSQ®. The TUSQ nut and saddle, along with the nickel-plated Grover® Rotomatic® tuners, help ensure the tuning stays where you set it so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning. The single-ply cream pickguard's shape was inspired by the pickguards used on Les Paul Standard electric guitars and further reinforces the Les Paul aesthetic, as does the mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and gold Les Paul Model decal on the headstock. The Les Paul Parlor Acoustic comes factory-equipped with an L.R. Baggs™ VTC+4 under-saddle piezo pickup and active preamp with stealthy yet easy-to-access soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, so it's plug-and-play ready from the moment you take it out of the included modern hardshell case. Here's your opportunity to own a high-quality, great-sounding Gibson acoustic guitar that matches the aesthetic of your Gibson Les Paul Standard. It's the perfect pairing and is available now at your local Gibson dealer and at the Gibson Garage.

The Gibson LG-2 was first introduced in 1942 during the “Banner” era and quickly became a beloved small-body acoustic guitar model that was renowned for its big sound. The LG-2 was initially released with mahogany backs and sides paired with red spruce tops, but due to wartime shortages, material substitutions were common. Gibson sometimes used maple backs and sides, and LG-2 models with mahogany tops were also produced. Now, Gibson is proud to introduce the new LG-2 All-Mahogany Faded, a modern reinterpretation of those all-mahogany vintage LG-2 models. The LG-2 All Mahogany Faded is constructed using solid mahogany for the back and sides, as well as a solid mahogany soundboard. The mahogany top is reinforced with traditional scalloped X-bracing, and the body features simple black binding on the top and back. The mahogany neck features a rounded profile and is attached to the body using a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint. The neck is capped with an unbound rosewood fretboard, which is equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with classy yet straightforward mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The LG-2 All Mahogany Faded is fitted with a sloped, rectangular, closed-slot bridge made from rosewood. The bridge features a bone nut, which is also made of bone, while the bridge pins are TUSQ®. Grover® strap tuners with white buttons ensure solid tuning stability and, along with the teardrop pickguard, add to the instrument’s vintage charm.
The LG-2 All Mahogany Faded’s all-mahogany top and body give it a warmer, rounder, and smoother sound than a guitar with a similar size and a spruce top, making it an ideal choice for folk, blues, and fingerstyle playing. The LG-2 All Mahogany Faded’s smaller dimensions also make it easier to hold than acoustic guitars with larger bodies. In a nod to the needs of modern performers and recording guitarists, the LG-2 All Mahogany Faded is factory-equipped with an L.R. Baggs™ VTC under-saddle transducer and built-in preamp. The L.R. Baggs VTC system features soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls that are quick and easy for the player to access while remaining all but invisible to the audience. The inclusion of high-quality discreet electronics makes the LG-2 All Mahogany Faded stage and studio-ready from the moment you take it out of the included Gibson hardshell case, while taking nothing away from its attractive, vintage-inspired character and vibe. Whether you need a guitar for fingerpicking on the couch, performing at blues or folk festivals, or for a new and unique voicing to add to your arsenal of recording guitars, the LG-2 All Mahogany Faded should be on your “must have” list.

The music of multiple award-winning artist Margo Price transcends the boundaries of traditional country, Americana, and classic rock, and her Gibson J-45™ acoustic has always been by her side during her rise as a top country artist. Gibson Custom's Margo Price J-45 embodies the spirit, vision, and talent that has driven Margo to stardom and continues the nature-themed model tradition of Gibson. The Margo Price J-45 was inspired by her mid-60s J-45, a guitar she's called "my main baby; my guitar I play all the time." The Margo Price J-45 features a slightly thinner mahogany body with a red spruce top with traditional hand-scalloped advanced X-bracing, a mahogany neck with a Rounded profile and rosewood fretboard, and Grover® strap tuners with white buttons. The nut and saddle are bone, and the bridge pins are TUSQ®. The Margo Price J-45 also comes equipped with L.R. Baggs electronics, so it's studio and stage-ready right out of the included hardshell case. Margo was also inspired by red-tailed hawks, which feature prominently on the distinctive double 50s-style pickguards of her new signature guitar. As Margo says, "Red-tailed hawks have always been symbolistic to me. I see them everywhere, and I always have, as they are common all over the United States, but to me, they are otherworldly, and they always come to me in my time of need with messages of strength and perseverance. Red, as a color, relates to love, passion, and even anger, matters that we typically would associate with the heart, but if you look closely, the ends of the feathers are dipped in white, and the bird itself has a spiritual nature to them. When I'm on long road trips, I look out the window and count them alongside the highway. They pass over me at the most kismet times, reminding me to find strength in my vulnerability and to open up and connect to those around me. I hope this guitar will remind those who play it these lessons as well."
