Just as the Grand Pacific body shape introduced a new kind of seasoned tone to the Taylor line, the AD27e Flametop brings a new sonic flavor with an earthy, broken-in character. This dreadnought-style guitar boasts back, sides and top of solid Big Leaf maple, with our V-Class bracing under the hood. Combined with nickel bronze strings from D'Addario, the maple construction results in an appealingly rustic sound that's totally distinct from the pristine, vibrant quality that many players associate with Taylor. Visually, the AD27e Flametop offers a rootsy, workmanlike vibe that fits right in with its siblings in the American Dream Series, with maple's beautiful figuring complemented by a dusky Woodsmoke finish and a satin sheen. It's available both with and without ES2 electronics and ships in a lightweight, super-sturdy AeroCase.

Proving again that the Gold Label Collection offers fertile ground for collaboration, this Grand Concert acoustic-electric boasts back and sides of solid mahogany topped with torrefied spruce for an enticingly warm, woody midrange voice that combines a strong fundamental focus with pleasing articulation and impressive power across the frequency range. Inside, our fanned V-Class bracing dials up greater volume, sustain and low-end presence, while the roasting process for the spruce soundboard adds a touch of aged-in sweetness and depth. Along with the compact body shape, players will appreciate the easy microadjustability of the Action Control Neck as well as the adaptability of the Claria System electronics and their intuitive soundhole-mounted controls. Visual cues add up to a bold neo-vintage character, including a Honduran rosewood fretboard and peghead veneer, cream-colored binding and a matching rosette with black trim, a cream-colored pickguard, Crest inlays, polished bronze tuning machines, and bone bridge pins.
