Among Taylor’s rosewood/spruce guitars, the 900 Series has always projected an aura of high-end sophistication, showcasing a detail-rich aesthetic and the most refined levels of Taylor craftsmanship. This model run goes one step further, showcasing a gorgeous tobacco sunburst top treatment that amplifies the visual appeal of the sparkling paua abalone top trim. A lush redesign of the series has brought a sleek and comfortable hand-carved beveled ebony armrest to the series, along with the same sweeping array of tonal-enhancing refinements first applied to the 800 Series. On the 914ce, the Grand Auditorium’s all-around versatility has been punched up to produce a more powerful bass response and a warmer, sweeter midrange. The refreshed appointment scheme boasts a beautifully calibrated balance of ebony binding and koa purfling, together with colorful abalone shell inlays and trim. Additional features include a Venetian cutaway and Taylor’s Expression System® 2 pickup. The guitar ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.

This Grand Pacific model is the first of our round-shoulder dreadnoughts to feature back and sides of solid ovangkol, an African tonewood that shares rosewood’s warmth and brilliance with additional presence in the midrange. Topped with solid spruce, the AD17 serves up a blend of sparkle and clean low-end power, enhanced by V-Class bracing for greater volume, longer sustain, and a more in-tune sound. That seasoned, vintage-hued tone is reflected in this model’s strikingly classic look, with a natural top and a deep Urban Sienna color treatment for the ovangkol back and sides. Minimally decorated but finely crafted, the AD17 also features chamfered body edges, stained spruce edge trim, a three-ring rosette in Hawaiian koa, and a faux tortoiseshell pickguard. The 2.0 mil-thick matte body finish minimizes damping for unfettered resonance. It ships in a Taylor AeroCase.

This lovingly contoured Builder's Edition model builds on the long heritage of our 800 Series with an experience that matches exceptional playability with a singular acoustic voice. Honduran rosewood—a denser, harder variant of the species typically used for the back and sides of our flagship model—yields a beautifully balanced response with a harmonically complex overtone profile, while the sinker redwood top delivers cedar-like warmth and remarkable soft-touch sensitivity. Inside, our V-Class bracing architecture dials up more volume, longer sustain and improved tunefulness all the way up the neck. Comfort-enhancing touches include a beveled mahogany armrest that provides a smooth surface for your strumming arm and a beveled cutaway that beautifully accommodates your fretting hand as you access the guitar's highest register. Chamfered body edges and a smooth Curve Wing bridge complete the seamless experience, making for an intimate feel that softens the boundary between player and guitar. Other details include Gotoh 510 tuning machines with an ultra-precise 18:1 gear ratio, Element fretboard inlays in shell and mother-of-pearl, and a gloss finish with a shaded edgeburst treatment.

This stunning Grand Auditorium from our new Builder’s Edition collection features Hawaiian koa back and sides paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top. The guitar was inspired by our groundbreaking V-Classbracing, which boosts the volume evenly across the tonal spectrum, increases the sustain, and improves the natural intonation of the guitar by creating a more orderly response from the soundboard. The result is a more harmonious relationship between the notes you play, helping chords sing with cohesive beauty. Another design emphasis of Builder’s Edition is enhanced playing comfort in the form of ergonomic new body contours. Details include a beveled armrest, beveled body edge treatment, and a reshaped cutaway that flows smoothly into the heel and incorporates a finger bevel where the cutaway meets the soundboard. This creates a more fluid path to the guitar’s upper-register notes for your fretting hand. Other refined touches include “silent” satin finish, which helps quiet the incidental noise against the guitar body, and a gorgeous new Kona burst that highlights the natural beauty of the figured koa back and sides. Inset koa/paua top and back trim adds a beautiful sparkle that complements the new Spring Vine fretboard inlay. In every way, this K14ce acoustic guitar embodies the ultimate player’s guitar and testifies to the benefits of innovative craftsmanship.

The latest koa entry in the Builder’s Edition family is this Grand Auditorium K24ce, build with all-solid Hawaiian koa with V-Class bracing under the hood. Sonically, it bears the hallmarks of koa’s unique tone, with high-end clarity balanced against the volume and sustain improvements delivered by the new bracing scheme. Koa’s inimitable aging properties also make this guitar a special find, opening and adding depth and sweetness as the guitar is played over time. Designed to optimize the player’s experience with a handful of ergonomic features, this model includes a double-contoured cutaway for easy playing all the way down to the highest frets, along with a smooth armrest that takes the pressure off the player’s strumming arm. The Silent Satin finish treatment adds a subtle visual touch while removing much of the incidental noise that comes from the player’s arm movement, making this an ideal choice for session or studio players looking to lay down tracks. It ships with ES2 electronics in a deluxe hardshell case.
Crafted with top-tier tonewoods and master-level detailing, the Builder's Edition 914ce raises the bar for our family of refined, player-focused acoustic guitars. This Grand Auditorium features back and sides of solid Honduran rosewood, a dense, hard wood that yields stunning harmonic texture with warm lows, piano-like trebles and a smooth attack. We've selected sinker redwood for the top, a wood sourced from old-growth logs submerged in Northern California riverbeds. Redwood's warmth and touch sensitivity are comparable to cedar, but with a higher volume ceiling and an enhanced dynamic range. With our V-Class bracing inside, the result is a high-fidelity sound complemented by lush overtones and remarkable pitch precision. Comfort-enhancing features include a beveled armrest and cutaway, chamfered body edges, and a smooth Curve Wing bridge, yielding a truly seamless feel. The Builder's Edition 914ce is artfully detailed with Hawaiian koa purfling, paua edge trim, an ebony backstrap, Gotoh 510 tuners in antique gold, Belle Fleur inlays in paua and mother-of-pearl, and a gorgeous Kona edgeburst for the back and sides with a full-body gloss finish.
