Playing guitar in a great sounding room is one of the most inspiring and engaging playing experiences imaginable – far more enjoyable than in a dry-sounding room like a lounge, office, den, or bedroom. Yamaha’s FS-TA TransAcoustic Concert acoustic-electric guitar intuitively recreates the incredible experience of playing in a rich, live room without needing any external amplification or effects. All you need is the guitar itself.
Whether you’re practicing, writing, recording or just playing for fun, the Yamaha FS-TA TransAcoustic Concert will inspire your creativity with built-in Hall or Room Reverb and Chorus you can mix and adjust for just the right sound you're looking for.
If you don't warn your listeners, they'll swear you've got some wireless doodad hidden somewhere or an amp up your sleeve, but it's actually Yamaha's innovative actuator installed on the inner surface of the guitar back vibrating in response to the vibrations of the strings. These vibrations are then conveyed to the body of the guitar, and out into the air in and around the guitar body, giving you authentic reverb and chorus effects from inside the body.
The FS-TA TransAcoustic's controls are conveniently located where a normal preamp is found and it's three simple knobs make it easy to adjust how much of an effect you add to the TransAcoustic's naturally bright tone. The three controls include Chorus, Reverb Control (Room/Hall), TA Switch/Line Out Volume Control. Yep, that's right, if you really want to plug in for a clean recording, the FS-TA offers you that as well.

$ 1,129.99 $ 1,808.00
The Yamaha LL-TA features a completely revolutionary new acoustic guitar concept. With an all solid construction and unique pre amp, the Yamaha recreates the incredible sound found from playing in a great sounding room. The guitar has a modified non-scalloped bracing that enhances the guitars low end whilst retaining its bright tone. Yamaha has also given the guitar a new battery box, integrating it into the end-pin jack to reduce the amount of holes in the guitar, preventing any acoustic sound loss.
The Yamaha guitar features a solid Engelmann Spruce top that delivers loud tones with a broad dynamical range. The top wood is light, strong and produces crisp, colourful tones that are powerful, direct, and have an immediate articulation. The Spruce also retains its clarity, even when driven hard.
the guitar’s back and side panels are constructed from Rosewood for an incredibly smooth, warm tone with complex harmonic overtones. The Rosewood offers a very versatile tone whilst keeping it balanced, providing a strong clear presence. The back and sides also provide dark and complex characteristics, enhancing the guitars top and bottom ends.
Yamaha has treated the guitars top with their own original wood reforming technology. Known as acoustic resonance enhancement, and developed by Yamaha, this treatment ages the wood through cooking it and provides the wood with a rich, vintage tone.
The guitar’s neck is made from a 5-ply Mahogany/Rosewood combination and delivers a warm, mellow tone with complex highs, creamily thick lows, and good presence in the mids. The guitar’s Ebony fingerboard also offers a bright, warm tone with a responsive snappy and crisp attack coupled with a smooth sustain.
Yamaha’s System 70 Transacoustic preamp not only provides the ability to plug the guitar into an amplifier, but can also amplify the guitar itself. With an actuator installed on the inside of the back panel, the Piezo pickup transmits the vibrations from the strings to the actuator and then to the body of the guitar and the surrounding air. This generates an authentic reverb and chorus sound inside the guitar, amplifying it’s sound.
The preamp comes with three controls that are designed into the body to minimise the amount of holes in the guitars body, reducing the loss of the acoustic sound. A chorus knob and reverb knob provides adjustments to the amount of chorus or reverb the actuator produces, with the reverb knob offering a choice between room and hall. The third switch turns the actuator on or off, and if the guitar is plugged into an amp, then it controls the line out’s volume.
Yamaha LL-TA TransAcoustic guitars transport you to new, creative spaces with immersive reverb and lush chorus effects without needing an amp or other external gear. Great for recreational guitarists, the LL-TA has an A.R.E.-treated, solid Engelmann spruce top with rosewood back and sides. Modified, non-scalloped bracing retains the L Series’ characteristic bright tone while enhancing the low end.
