Earl Scruggs is arguably the most influential banjo player in history. He popularized the three-finger banjo picking style, now called "Scruggs style," which is a defining characteristic of bluegrass music and was highly influential on multiple genres. The Epiphone Earl Scruggs Golden Deluxe is inspired by Earl's longtime musical companion – a rare Gibson RB-Granada Mastertone five-string that was his primary banjo from 1949, when he acquired it, up until his passing in 2012. The Epiphone Earl Scruggs Golden Deluxe Banjo features a 3-ply maple resonator with figured maple veneer, 3-ply maple rim, and gold hardware, including a gold plated armrest with Earl Scruggs-inspired engraving. The 26.4" scale-figured maple neck has an ebony fretboard with 22 medium/tall frets and is adorned with the famous "Hearts and Flowers" and a Mastertone Block inlaid in mother-of-pearl. Orville Gibson invented the modern mandolin, and mandolins have been a part of Epiphone’s DNA since its earliest days. Company founder Anastasios Stathopoulo’s first (and only) patent, filed in 1909, was for a mandolin. Gibson Master Luthier Lloyd Loar designed the original F-5 mandolin in the early 1920s, and its eventual success even led to the creation of new musical genres, such as bluegrass. Now, Epiphone has collaborated with the Gibson Custom Shop on the new F-5G. Epiphone’s finest mandolin model to date, this exceptional Inspired by Gibson Custom instrument is a faithful recreation of the time-honored original. It features all solid wood construction with a figured maple back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top. The figured maple neck has an ebony fretboard with a compound radius (10” at the nut, 12” at the end of the fretboard) and an F-style scroll headstock with vintage-style tuners with pearloid buttons. Ornate touches include the three-ply top binding, mother-of-pearl “The Epiphone” and flowerpot headstock inlays, and the rich Cremona Sunburst finish. Whether you’re playing rhythmic chops or lead lines, its tone is balanced, deep, and resonant, with great carrying power. A vintage-style rectangular hardshell case is also included.

From Epiphone comes the beautiful entry-level acoustic-electric guitar, priced for anyone to afford. Dressed in a beautiful finish, and featuring appointments you'd often find on higher-end instruments, the Epiphone J-45 EC Studio guitar sounds just as good as it looks. Built on advanced jumbo body design, the depth of the body and the width of the shoulders create a large sound chamber, presenting tone that's full, deep, and loud. The cutaway guitar body design provides comfort when accessing the upper-register frets on the rosewood fretboard.
The Epiphone J-45 EC Studio guitar's mahogany back and sides paired with a solid Sitka spruce top brings out rich harmonics, lots of projection, and clarity in tone. A Titebond-glued neck joint keeps the guitar's neck and body stable, without losing any subtleties in tone. The mahogany neck adds strength, as the wood is quite durable and will stand up to the elements. The acoustic-electric guitar's rosewood bridge and fretboard produces lasting sustain, in a deep appearance.
The SlimTaper C-shape neck and 12" radius add speed and comfort to your playing, while lessening player exhaustion. The Epiphone guitar's ebony fretboard, rosewood bridge, and bone nut produce some of the clearest tone possible, so you can hear your notes with crystal clarity.
At the heart of this Epiphone acoustic-electric guitar is the integrated Fishman Presys II preamp and Sonicore pickup system, letting you plug in and amplify quickly and painlessly. The Fishman preamp system features controls for master volume, treble and bass EQ, a tuner/phase button and a built-in chromatic tuner. Also included is a separate battery box.
Dressed in a polyurethane finish and featuring such desirable appointments as sealed die-cast tuners and nickel hardware, you will love the look of this Epiphone guitar as much as its sound. Built under the expertise of Epiphone's master craftsmen, the J-45 EC Studio acoustic-electric guitar will sound excellent for a very long time. And at this price, you can't go wrong.

The Epiphone L-00 Studio Acoustic/Electric guitar is a direct descendent of Epiphone’s original line of flattops going back to the golden age of acoustic guitars in the 1930s. The smaller "parlor" or "blues box" style acoustic guitar is favored by blues players of all eras for its compressed, woody tonal quality, short scale, and comfortable weight, which makes it ideal for fingerpicking or the bark of a bottleneck slide. Now featuring the Fishman® Sonitone™ soundhole preamp and Fishman® Sonicore™ pickup, the L-00 Studio Acoustic/Electric can now plug-in and be heard on any size stage with first class acoustic/electric sound. The Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500MCE guitar combines traditional construction methods and features with premium all-solid tone woods to bring you a new-vintage electric guitar with deep, rich lows, shimmering highs, and just the right amount of mids. While many other guitars in this price class use pressed backs, spliced neck joints, and even artificial wood backs and sides, you can be assured that this Epiphone guitar holds true to its all-solid wood promise.
It features a solid Sitka spruce top, hand-scalloped Sitka spruce braces, mahogany kerfing, a 25-1/2"-scale rosewood fingerboard, and a rosewood bridge. Players looking for vintage tone and vibe will appreciate the handcrafted dovetail neck joint and hide-glue construction. The Epiphone DR-500MCE guitar has a solid mahogany back and sides, as well as a 20-fret, hand-shaped mahogany neck that joins the body at the 14th fret, which is adorned with carefully cut, split-diamond pearl fretboard inlays. As with all Masterbilts, the Epiphone electric guitar features a vintage-style offset headstock with a stickpin inlay.
While the Epiphone DR-500MCE sounds great unplugged, it really comes alive when plugged in-thanks to the eSonic2 preamp system. Made in cooperation with Shadow Germany, the eSonic2 preamp features a built-in, easy-to-use tuner. When engaged, the Epiphone guitar's output is automatically muted-with no popping noise-making it a perfect choice for stage use. You can even push in the tuner button and unplug the guitar without a loud pop. Other controls on this state-of-the-art preamp include Master Volume, NanoFlex Tone, NanoMag Tone, Stereo Blend, Low Battery indicator, and a Phase switch to help eliminate unwanted feedback. The preamp uses two 2032 lithium watch batteries that are not only lightweight, but provide significantly longer life than old-fashioned, heavy 9V batteries.
Under the bone saddle is Shadow's proprietary NanoFlex, a low-impedance pickup. Not a piezo, this unique flexible sensing material features integrated active electronics into the Epiphone electric guitar that not only pick up string vibration, but also top and body vibrations for a truly acoustic tone without the harshness of piezos. Complimenting the NanoFlex is the revolutionary NanoMag pickup mounted at the harmonic-rich, end of the fingerboard. Exclusively from Shadow, the NanoMag features 3 Samarian-Cobalt magnets and an integrated active circuit to capture all the highs and lows, including a wide range of harmonics. With your choice of either a 1/4" mono output blending both pickups, or a 1/4" stereo output splitting the two pickups, the Epiphone Masterbilt guitar pickup gives you incredible flexibility and the opportunity to create the perfect acoustic tone live.
Other features on the Epiphone Masterbilt acoustic electric guitar include quality vintage-style Grover Sta-Tite 16:1 ratio machine heads; bone nut and saddle; imitation tortoise pickguard; nickel hardware; and a bound body, neck, and headstock.
