The Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature Acoustic Guitar is handcrafted with a premium East Indian rosewood back and sides and a bookmatched top of select quartersawn Sitka spruce. Its smaller 000 body size and short 24-9/10" scale help produce delicate, balanced tones. The rosette and soundboard are inlaid with herringbone wood marquetry, and the body is bound with grained ivoroid. An ebony fingerboard features a long diamonds-and-squares pattern in abalone pearl. Eric's signature is inlaid in mother-of-pearl between the 19th and 20th frets. Tastefully appointed with hand-beveled tortoise pickguard, nickel-plated open-geared machines equipped with unique butterbean knobs. This Authentic Series replication of a 1937 D-18 stays true to the original with hide glue construction and historically accurate detailing. This guitar features genuine mahogany back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top, and it includes an Authentic circa 1937 bracing pattern. It includes period-correct "18" Authentic-style appointments and an Authentic neck barrel and heel, and new this year, a more accurate body profile based on dreadnought shapes from the early Golden Era of Martin’s history. Martin’s VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) is employed to age the top and braces, which captures the tone from the 1930s era. Martin’s craftspeople can recreate the pleasing visual aesthetics of a vintage guitar and reproduce the particular tones previously reserved for vintage instruments.

Martin D-Robert Goetzl 1 Hand Painted HD-28 Acoustic Guitar - Hops And Barley

At the request of Chris Martin, artist Robert Goetzl was commissioned to design a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork and hand paint it on the top of a Dreadnought style guitar, specifically an HD-28. Unlike the many art guitars offered by the company, which are printed with custom artwork using a state-of-the-art Mamaki printer, this guitar is available for purchase with artwork that is hand-painted directly on the soundboard. The Hops and Barley theme was a suggestion made by Tim Teel, Martin’s Lead Instrument Designer, who also selected a new sinker redwood, which came from a river in the North Western United States, as Goetzl’s canvas. The sinker redwood top is paired with high-figured black walnut back and sides, and the combination produced a light-weight guitar with a responsive and rich sustain that is great for both fingerstyle and strumming. This one-of-a-kind instrument is as beautiful to see as it is to hear.

This Martin DJR-10E acoustic-electric bass is ideal if you love to write and practice on an unplugged bass but also need the option to plug it in to record or play live with your band. It includes a spruce top and sapele back and sides to deliver thumping Martin bass tones, whether you are unplugged or using the built-in Fishman® electronics. It also includes a fast, comfortable neck so you can keep the rhythm section tight. The DJR-10E Bass is strung with Martin short scale bass strings that are made specifically for this instrument.
