Introduced in 1960 as Gibson’s first square shoulder, the Hummingbird™ arrived at the dawn of a new era in music and was rapidly embraced by the prime movers on the scene. Built with a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, the 1960 Hummingbird reflects the appearance and performance of those early icons. It features Light Aging by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Light Aged finish treatment, paired with lightly aged hardware, simulates decades of light play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era.
The guitar that started the legacy of Gibson Jumbo acoustics. When Gibson released the Jumbo in 1934, it was larger than any other guitar Gibson offered, and it made for a remarkable instrument. Only built for two production years, these rare instruments quickly became artist favorites and best represent the Gibson sound heard by world-renowned artists and collectors. Thoughtfully recreated with a Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top, hot hide glue top bracing, mahogany back and sides, traditional 25'' scale length, and a historic-style V neck profile, the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop is proud to bring back a legend, the 1934 Jumbo.

The Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop is pleased to once again offer the Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo, outfitted with a Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and premium Waverly tuners. 1958 was a monumental year for Gibson in which a whole new lineup of now-famous models were introduced. One of them was the redesigned "double cutaway" Les Paul Junior, which has since found its place in music history as a favorite of hard rock musicians. The extra fret access of the double-cut construction allows upper octave leads while the "simple is better" single-pickup setup projects only thick, heavy tone. Gibson Custom Shop has proudly revived the original recipe from 1958 for this Historic Reissue, from the solid mahogany and hide glue construction to the vintage-style wiring. It is an accurate and faithful replica in every possible way.

While visually similar to Gibson Custom's EST models, the CS-356 is constructed with carved and chambered solid woods for a unique sound all its own that combines elements of archtop, Les Paul™, and semi-hollowbody tones in a deceptive ES-style package. The compact body shape is well balanced and resists feedback while remaining extremely resonant. The sound is captured by a pair of '57 Classic ™ humbucking pickups. In both beauty and brawn, the Gibson Custom CS-356 reigns supreme.
