Played with an old time style technique, the Goodtime Artisan Americana is reminiscent of banjos from a period when larger rims were more prevalent which makes the 12” a great setup for playing old time music. A traditional 11” banjo with a frosted top head has a far brighter sound and will “cut” more. Since the combination of the Grand 12” rim and the Renaissance head makes for a wonderfully laid back sound in comparison, the Americana lends itself perfectly for musicians looking to use the banjo to back up a vocalist or another instrument, instead of playing the a lead instrument role.

This banjo offers the player the lovely hearts-and-flowers fretboard inlay and the fully-bound neck and fourteen-inch resonator of the Gold Tone BG-250F combined with lightweight playing comfort (made possible by installing a quarter-inch brass-rod tone ring rather than the nearly three-pound bell brass ring in the BG-250F). Little is lost in sound quality or power, and long gigs played standing up become much more bearable. Comes with a gig bag! Available as left-handed model.

The Recording King Madison RK-R35 is built around our 3-ply steam bent maple rim, using the same rim and hardware as in the best-selling RK-ELITE-75.
The maple neck has an adjustable two-way truss rod and a comfortable padauk fretboard. With a 24-hook brass tension hoop, players can enjoy precise adjustment of the head tension.
The planetary tuners, geared 5th peg and dual coordinator rods are pro components that add an authentic feel to these impressive banjos.
The Madison RK-R35 has a maple resonator with hand-rubbed brown matte finish. The peghead and fretboard feature our Seagull inlay, for a banjo that looks as classic as it sounds.
