Córdoba’s entry into the fusion line! The perfect choice to transition from a steel string to a nylon guitar, the Córdoba Fusion 5 features a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a full body with cutaway for extended playing range, side dot fret position markers, and a pearl decal rosette and arches. The fusion neck with a 16” radius fretboard and smaller, 1 7/8” (48mm) nut width provides a playing experience very close to that of a steel string guitar. This familiarity offers an easy transition for steel string players and players with smaller hands to the world of nylon string guitar. Added side dot markers also depart from traditional nylon string guitar construction, providing players reference for their position on the fretboard. Equipped with the Fishman Sonitone Pickup System, the Fusion 5 is ready to plug in and play. Intended to put the bright, percussive sound of Flamenco at your fingertips and facilitate amplification and high-fret soloing while doing so, the GK Studio from Cordoba is a nylon-string classical guitar with a solid European spruce top and cypress back and sides, all in a single-cutaway design intended to promote access to high frets. The mahogany neck provides a 25.5” scale, a rosewood fingerboard, and 19 frets. An Indian rosewood bridge affixes strings to the body.

At the headstock, you’ll find Cordoba Tuning Machines. A 4mm dual-action truss rod is accessible for ensuring that the neck stays straight, and a bone nut has been employed to bolster sustain and resonance on open strings. Since this instrument is primarily intended for Flamenco, a clear tap plate has been pre-installed to prevent you from damaging the top in particularly percussive moments of expression.

For electronics, the instrument is equipped with a Fishman Presys Blend preamp system along with an undersaddle piezo pickup and internal microphone. The preamp includes controls for volume, bass, middle, treble, mic blend to adjust the mix between the pickup and microphone, a notch filter and phase switch to suppress feedback, as well as a built-in tuner.

Now featuring a radiused fingerboard! A radiused fingerboard is an arched fingerboard which you will find on most electric and modern acoustic guitars. This arch fits the fold of your hand better and makes it easier for both your left and right hand to play the banjo.

Curly maple wood, -06- tone ring, and flower inlays are the other key elements of the Deering Maple Blossom banjo. Maple Blossom is made from eastern violin grade curly maple, stained with a dark walnut stain, and adorned with flower mother of pearl inlays. When this individually selected wood is built into a banjo with the genuine Deering -06-bronze tone ring, 3-ply violin grade maple rim, and one piece zinc flange, the result is a banjo that is so bright, crisp and clear that every note pops out of this banjo with precision and power.

The Deering -06- tone ring produces a beautiful, balanced overtone spectrum. Its weight is ideal for most styles played on the banjo. A softer touch will provide you with as much sustain as you ever want, a sharper attack will produce a distinct pop and accurate note separation. You will notice no dead spots over the entire fingerboard. The beautiful highs and powerful well rounded bass is the result of intense study of alloys and shapes which resulted in the new -06- tone ring you hear in the great tone of the Maple Blossom banjo today.
