Peace J-160E Specifications
The Gibson John Lennon J-160E Peace Acoustic-Electric Guitar is replica of Lennon's 1962 J-160E, which he used extensively in films and recordings. The reissue features an antique natural finish, laminated spruce top, ladder-top bracing, a P-90 pickup, authentic wood body binding, and a signature truss rod cover. It perfectly re-creates Lennon's Gibson axe as it appeared during 1969's Bed-In after stripping off the psychedelic paint job he commissioned in 1967. It's historically accurate right down to the strap based on the one John used. The original Gibson guitar is now displayed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this re-creation is offered as a limited, numbered edition of 750.

Fingerboard and headstock inlays remain true to the original design. The neck heel carve flows with the beauty and grace of the artwork in that time period."

Tom Petty needs no introduction. Both solo and with his band the Heartbreakers, he created some of the most beloved and enduring music of the rock era. The original SJ-200 Wildflower was a one-off that was built for Tom during the Wildflowers era in the 1990s. Now Gibson is proud to release the Tom Petty SJ-200 Wildflower, which was inspired by Tom's original. Featuring all of the classic SJ-200 ornamentation you'd expect, it is equipped with a AAA Sitka spruce top, highly figured quilted maple back and sides, and the neck is flamed maple. It has gold Grover® Imperial® tuners, as well as an LR Baggs™ VTC under-saddle pickup with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, making it stage-ready, right out of the included custom Wildflower case. Personalized touches including the Wildflower logo in Mother of Pearl on the headstock, "You Belong Among the Wildflowers" lyric decal on the back of the headstock, and Tom Petty's signature engraved on the double pickguard make this a very special guitar. Only 100 will be handcrafted by the expert luthiers and craftspeople of the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana.

Sierra Hull is a mandolin virtuoso, singer, guitarist, and songwriter known for her exceptional technical proficiency and unique musical style, which blends elements of bluegrass, Americana, folk, jazz, and modern progressive acoustic music. She started playing mandolin at age eight and performed at the Grand Ole Opry by age ten. Her performances quickly attracted the attention of other highly skilled bluegrass musicians, and she has collaborated with and received accolades from other notable artists, including Gillian Welch, Béla Fleck, Dolly Parton, Brandi Carlile, and Alison Krauss. Sierra Hull continues to delight and inspire audiences worldwide with her innovative artistry. Now, Gibson Custom is proud to introduce the Sierra Hull F-5G mandolin, an impressive yet accessible mandolin built on the Gibson F-5G mandolin platform with customizations specified directly by Sierra Hull. It features a two-piece, quarter-sawn figured red maple body with a multi-ply celluloid nitrate bound, carved solid Sitka spruce top, and flat-sawn figured red maple sides. The Sierra Hull F-5G is finished with a real, hand-applied VOS varnish finish in a Sierra Burst color, a first for the F-5G platform. The figured red maple neck has an ebony fretboard equipped with 20 medium frets and adorned with mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The Historic scroll headstock is equipped with Grover® tuning machines, a mother-of-pearl nut, and “The Gibson” logo and Flowerpot adorning it are also inlaid in mother of pearl. The bridge is ebony, and the hardware is nickel, including the nickel-plated tailpiece cover, which is engraved with “The Gibson” and Sierra Hull’s initials. The Sierra Hull F-5G comes with a certificate of authenticity and a Sierra Hull BlueChip pick and is packed in a hardshell case to help keep it safe when traveling.

The legendary J-160E, with all the classic visual appeal, and now with improved performance
The Gibson J-160E is a legendary model, and for many players, it needs no introduction, but for players who may be unfamiliar with its history, it is most closely associated with The Beatles, who used the model extensively, including on their landmark first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show and on many of the recordings from the first half of their career. The J-160E was first introduced in 1954 as the second Gibson acoustic model to feature onboard electronics (after the CF-100E, which was released in 1951), in the form of a coverless P-90 pickup mounted through the top, just below the end of the fretboard. While it has a round shoulder shape similar to the Southern Jumbo and J-45™, it was designed from the beginning as a dual-purpose model that could function both electrically and acoustically, with somewhat more emphasis placed on its electrical performance.
Now, Gibson is very proud to introduce the J-160E Original, a new model based on those vintage classics, enhanced with upgrades and improvements that make it better than ever, in both its acoustic and electric performance. It features a back and sides made from solid mahogany. Instead of the laminated top and ladder bracing used on vintage models, the J-160E Original features a solid Sitka spruce top that is reinforced with our traditional scalloped X-bracing for a full, round shoulder acoustic tone when played unplugged. The mahogany neck has a comfortable and fast-playing SlimTaper™ profile and is attached to the body at the 15th fret using our compound dovetail neck-to-body joint, and like all Gibson acoustic guitars, it is fitted with hot hide glue for maximum resonance and tonal transfer. The bound rosewood fretboard is equipped with 20 standard frets and dressed up with pearloid trapezoid inlays. The belly-up bridge is also rosewood and is equipped with a bone saddle and TUSQ® bridge pins. The nut is also bone, and nickel Gotoh® Keystone tuners ensure fast, accurate, and stable tuning so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning.
Like its vintage predecessors, the J-160E Original is equipped with a pickup, but instead of the P-90 found in previous versions, the J-160 Original features a P-90 DC pickup that is wired to top-mounted master volume and tone controls, both of which feature 60s-style gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors, and wired to a side-mounted output jack. The P-90 DC delivers the classic P-90 tone but without the hum, for improved, noise-free electrified performance. A Gibson hardshell case is also included to help keep the J-160E Original safe, whether you’re traveling to a gig at the local pub, going to a friend’s house for a jam session, or headed out to conquer America.
