The Gibson John Lennon J-160E Peace Acoustic-Electric Guitar is replica of Lennon's 1962 J-160E, which he used extensively in films and recordings. The reissue features an antique natural finish, laminated spruce top, ladder-top bracing, a P-90 pickup, authentic wood body binding, and a signature truss rod cover. It perfectly re-creates Lennon's Gibson axe as it appeared during 1969's Bed-In after stripping off the psychedelic paint job he commissioned in 1967. It's historically accurate right down to the strap based on the one John used. The original Gibson guitar is now displayed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this re-creation is offered as a limited, numbered edition of 750.

The shield design is representative of a coat of arms with surrounding carvings being scrollwork and acanthus found in many forms throughout the centuries. Fingerboard and headstock inlays remain true to the original design. The neck heel carve flows with the beauty and grace of the artwork in that time period."

The original SJ-200 Wildflower was a one-off that was built for Tom during the Wildflowers era in the 1990s. Now Gibson is proud to release the Tom Petty SJ-200 Wildflower, which was inspired by Tom's original. Featuring all of the classic SJ-200 ornamentation you'd expect, it is equipped with a AAA Sitka spruce top, highly figured quilted maple back and sides, and the neck is flamed maple. It has gold Grover® Imperial® tuners, as well as an LR Baggs™ VTC under-saddle pickup with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, making it stage-ready, right out of the included custom Wildflower case. Personalized touches including the Wildflower logo in Mother of Pearl on the headstock, "You Belong Among the Wildflowers" lyric decal on the back of the headstock, and Tom Petty's signature engraved on the double pickguard make this a very special guitar. Sierra Hull is a mandolin virtuoso, singer, guitarist, and songwriter known for her exceptional technical proficiency and unique musical style, which blends elements of bluegrass, Americana, folk, jazz, and modern progressive acoustic music. She started playing mandolin at age eight and performed at the Grand Ole Opry by age ten. Her performances quickly attracted the attention of other highly skilled bluegrass musicians, and she has collaborated with and received accolades from other notable artists, including Gillian Welch, Béla Fleck, Dolly Parton, Brandi Carlile, and Alison Krauss. Her debut album, Secrets, was released in 2008, and she has followed it up with other critically acclaimed albums, including 2011’s Daybreak, 2016’s Weighted Mind, and 2020's 25 Trips, which cemented her place as one of the most innovative musicians in contemporary bluegrass and acoustic music. Now, Gibson Custom is proud to introduce the Sierra Hull F-5G mandolin, an impressive yet accessible mandolin built on the Gibson F-5G mandolin platform with customizations specified directly by Sierra Hull. It features a two-piece, quarter-sawn figured red maple body with a multi-ply celluloid nitrate bound, carved solid Sitka spruce top, and flat-sawn figured red maple sides. The Sierra Hull F-5G is finished with a real, hand-applied VOS varnish finish in a Sierra Burst color, a first for the F-5G platform. The figured red maple neck has an ebony fretboard equipped with 20 medium frets and adorned with mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The Historic scroll headstock is equipped with Grover® tuning machines, a mother-of-pearl nut, and “The Gibson” logo and Flowerpot adorning it are also inlaid in mother of pearl. The bridge is ebony, and the hardware is nickel, including the nickel-plated tailpiece cover, which is engraved with “The Gibson” and Sierra Hull’s initials. The Sierra Hull F-5G comes with a certificate of authenticity and a Sierra Hull BlueChip pick and is packed in a hardshell case to help keep it safe when traveling.

First introduced in 1968 as a special-order top-of-the-line model, the D-55 was so well-received that Guild added it into the regular production line by 1974. Famously played by Tommy Smothers on the Smothers Brothers Show in the 1960s, the D-55 grew in both popularity and longevity over the decades, finding homes in the hands of more contemporary artists like Waylon Jennings, Billie Joe Armstrong, and David Nail. The most anticipated return of a Guild acoustic to date, the 2017 Guild D-55 is back and better than ever. The D-55 remains true to all the premium appointments of its 1968 predecessor, including a AAA Sitka spruce top, solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and nitrocellulose finish. Internal refinements include scalloped Adirondack bracing as well as an improved dovetail neck-joint, hand fit to make this generation of D-55 the lightest, loudest, and best-sounding yet. The D-55 showcases Guild’s most recognizable headstock which is fully bound and features the Guild “Peak and Shield” inlay combination over a figured ebony overlay. The matching ebony fingerboard is also fully bound and inlayed with Guild’s iconic abalone/pearl “V-Blocks” and multi-line “railroad track” purfling on the bass and treble sides. The D-55’s fingerboard is set on an all-mahogany neck with beautiful walnut center seam running the length of the heel to headstock. The D-55’s nitro finish is available in natural or Antique Burst and is hand sprayed for minimum thickness and maximum resonance that will only get better with age. An LR Baggs pickup system is available as an option, and each guitar includes a hand-signed certificate of authenticity and ships with Guild’s Premium humidified hardshell case.
