The 2x10 is the compact solution for players who prefer the midrange articulation and focus of 10s, but need a smaller option than the classic 4x10. Combining two allows a more portable solution than one heavier quad-box and the ability to take one for rehearsal or small venues and two for gigs with louder bands or in bigger venues. Using the 2x10 in combination with a 1x12 or 1x15 imparts color, articulation and iconic midrange punch along with more volume. Built with all the same woods, aircraft-style bracing and Tri-Port™ porting, the 2x10 Ultra-Lite brings another key voice to the modular approach in compact, lightweight Bass Cabinetry.

For fans of the Slant Cab style and tone (but a 4x12 is too much), the Rectifier® 2x12 Vertical Slant delivers. With roughly the same interior area as the Horizontal 2x12 Recto cab, the overall tone, punch and detail is similar, but some players prefer a Slant-style cabinet for the ‘monitor’ effect from the top speaker sloping upwards. When you can’t bring a 4x12 to the gig or session, the 2x12 Recto Vertical Slant Cab easily provides a similar sonic footprint, without the size & weight… and it’s styling and huge tone will probably fool most folks into thinking it IS a 4x12. You simply won’t find a better cabinet. ALL MESA® ENCLOSURES are made using the finest Void-free, Marine Grade Baltic Birch. Super strong rabbet corners are glued and nailed. Speaker baffles are fitted with superior dado joint construction and braced. Grilles are wrapped around a separate grille board, not the baffle board. Grille material is made of strong twisted jute dipped in a special coating that filters top end for a sweeter response.

Our take on Classic with all the weight removed. The 4x10 Subway Ultra-Lite proves again that you don’t need massive weight to have massive Tone. All the usual suspects reside within this Cab’s frequency response, focus, articulate mids, precise bottom end, yet there is a detail and clarity we’ve not experienced before. And certainly never in something this huge sounding and portable. This is the perfect stand-alone cab for players leaning in the modern or R&B direction, but it can also do double duty with prowess in Rock and Blues realms as well. Harnessing the power and throw of two of these mighty cabinets combined enable you to handle any gig or venue with horsepower to spare. And should you be the rare 10” aficionado that is open to blending speakers, the attributes of this 4x10 are many and pleasing and they stand firm in a mix. Regardless of musical style or preferences, the Subway Ultra-Lite 4x10 encompasses the next generation of Classic.

When it comes to 4x12 cabinets, we offer a choice of two distinct and different sounding/sized quad boxes: our legendary oversized Rectifier® STANDARD and TRADITIONAL Cabinets. RECTIFIER® TRADITIONAL 4x12 CABINETS are three inches shorter than the oversized Standard Rectifier 4x12 (width and depth dimensions are the same). This slight size difference produces a tighter and more focused low-end response, though still delivering massive 4x12 punch and authority. Compared to Standard Recto® 4x12s, the Traditional 4x12 provides more balance between lows, mids and highs and a greater emphasis on attack. The mid-range is more pronounced and this cabinet is often preferred for styles that require tight tracking and articulate response. Straight cabinet designs also provide for a small increase of interior cabinet space, which yeilds slightly more bass and low-end resonance compared to Slants. SLANT-style Recto 4x12 Cabinets offer a ‘monitor’ effect due to the top speakers sloping up toward your ears. This can be a benefit when playing live. Other players prefer the STRAIGHT-style cabinets with all speakers attached to a one-piece baffle and all facing the same direction, effectively ‘coupled’ for maximum punch and frontal projection. Regardless of Slant or Straight, if you are playing a Recto 4x12, your tone has authority, clarity and detail that only MESA® Traditional or Standard 4x12 Rectifier Cabinets deliver.

A BOLD NEW RECTIFIER VOICE FOR A NEW ERA
Badlanders arose from our legendary Dual Rectifiers® and feedback from players who used them over decades requesting; “Tighter low end, refined top end, and less mid scoop delivered with MESA gain that feels great and sounds huge.” The BadlanderTM 25 Head delivers that recipe in a small package and power range that adds a raw character all its own. For the guitarist leaning rock who likes some Brit influence with their American-voiced gain, the 25’s appeal is obvious, with many such tones that sound huge through cabinetry while also providing stunning direct performance without live speakers.
The Badlander 25 Head delivers the Rectifier-inspired voice and performance of the Badlander 100 and 50, offering a fiery-sounding, ultra-portable low-power option for those not needing big horsepower. The same simple 2 channel format, each containing Clean, Crunch, and Crush modes repeated, fits perfectly within this small EL84-powered rendering with a fierceness and harmonic complexity all its own.
Key features and options included on the bigger models remain intact, with only the power section, transformers, and chassis getting a make-over. Tonally speaking, choosing a favorite between the 3 models isn’t easy, as each has its own character and application, but the 25 wins hands down for attitude and ease of transport.
Like all Badlanders, the Badlander 25 Head packs our CabCloneTM IR Direct Interface making recording and cab-less live capture easy. The same collection of Rectifier® Closed-Back and Boogie® Open-Back Cabinets from our stand- alone CabClone IR are included and provide a wide array of sounds and responses. For guitarists seeking tube tone and huge sounding gain through cabs or direct, from a package that fits in an overnight bag, the Rectifier Badlander 25 Head rules!

BEAUTIFULLY SIMPLISTIC, TWEED-BASED PERFORMANCE IN A NEW COMPACT PACKAGE
In the twilight of the 1960s, SF Bay Area amp repairman to the Stars, Randall Smith, was inspired to start building his own amplifiers after coming to a deep appreciation for the 50s Tweed circuits developed by Leo Fender. He loved their organic-sounding voice, powerful controls, and the way they smoothly transitioned from clean to clip and back again. Standing on the shoulders of a giant, Smith’s (and the World’s) first venture into boutique guitar amplification resulted in a new Boogie® amp design inspired by that wonderful, timeless-sounding preamp. Five decades later we returned to pay homage with the original California Tweed 4:40. Now, we’ve distilled the essence of that tweed-based performance and authentic 6V6 character in a new, more compact format. A beautifully simplistic design that raises the bar in the world of vintage tone. The NEW CALIFORNIA TWEED™ 2:20 1x10 COMBO.
A quick glance at the front panel of the California Tweed 2:20 reveals single-channel simplicity. Channel features include Normal & Low Inputs, Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, Reverb, & Master Controls. Our legendary vintage all-tube, spring reverb with external reverb switching jack and a fully buffered, tube-driven series FX loop round out a feature set that delivers everything you need for golden tone, and absolutely nothing more.
3 POWER VOICES, ONE SIMPLE SWITCH
The California Tweed 2:20 is powered by 2x6V6 Power Tubes while the preamp features 5x12AX7 and 1x12AT7 preamp tubes. Our patented Incremental Multi-Watt™ (Patent 9,917,560) Power Amp, featuring Duo-Class™ (Patent 7,173,488) and Dyna-Watt™ technologies, provides three power levels, two operating classes, and three wiring options via a single 3-Way Rotary Switch! Choose from the following power options:
• 20 Watts - 2x6V6 Class A/B Pentode – Fixed Bias • 10 Watts - 2x6V6 Class A/B Triode – Fixed Bias • 1 Watt - 1x6V6 Pentode, Single-Ended Class A – Cathode Bias
Fixed Bias (20 and 10-Watt Modes) and Cathode Bias (1-Watt Mode) both provide consistent, maintenance-free performance.
SINGLE CHANNEL SIMPLICITY
The California Tweed 2:20 features a single channel with Normal (clean to overdrive) and Low (clean) Inputs, Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, Reverb, and Master Controls, giving you everything you need to dial up your ideal TONE quickly and easily. The Vintage All-Tube Spring Reverb is equipped with an external reverb switching jack (footswitch and cable sold separately) for remote activation.
THE PERFECT PARTNER FOR YOUR PEDALS
Whether you choose to run your pedals straight into the input or through the included fully buffered, tube-driven series FX loop, the California Tweed 2:20 delivers an ideal platform for pedal users in a compact 26.4-pound 1x10 combo that expands vintage tone and defines portability.
The California Tweed series is what we like to call “Vintage Expanded.” When it comes to vintage, low-wattage tone and feel, no amp offers more than the new California Tweed 2:20! Harken back, bounce on forward, while never sacrificing one drop of golden California Tone.
