Delivering powerful low-end reinforcement in a compact enclosure designed for smaller performance spaces, the Yamaha DXS12mkII band-pass style active subwoofer gives your existing system the deep, rich bass your music deserves. A potent Class-D amplifier drives the 2.5" voice coil magnet and 12" woofer for tight, accurate bass with exceptional clarity and up to 134dB SPL. The rugged wooden enclosure features LINE-X coating for protection against scratches and wear, ensuring it will withstand years of use while maintaining its professional appearance.
Crossover switching allows you to seamlessly match the DXS12mkII with any of Yamaha’s full-range powered speakers by selecting the cutoff frequency best suited to the models in their speaker array. Yamaha’s state-of-the-art DSP processing and protection functions mean the DXS12mkII performs at its peak under the most demanding conditions.
A unique feature of the DXS12mkII is its cardioid mode setting for PA setups with two or more matching subwoofers. Selecting cardioid mode function effectively decreases stage-side sound pressure while increasing the bottom-end output directed towards the audience. The result is a clearer onstage monitoring environment and a more pronounced bass experience out front.
