Boss Katana Guitar Amplifier Head

Turn your attention to the rear of the amplifier head and you'll notice quite a few connective possibilities. For instance, you'll see the speaker output right alongside the headphones/recording output. This gives you the ability to direct your sound to cabinets, headphones, and recording devices with a minimal amount of maneuvering. Additionally, a line out jack allows you to route line-level signal to mixers and PAs. An effects loop affords you the opportunity to use outboard gear, and an auxiliary input jack lets you play audio from compatible players through the amplifier head.
But wait, there's more! For external control, there are two different footswitch inputs, one for channel selection/expression pedals, and one specifically tailored to the all-encompassing GA-FC foot controller. Should you wish to control the amplifier through MIDI messaging, you can do so via the dedicated MIDI input.

Ready-To-Mix Direct Tones
The Katana-50 MkII features USB and phones/recording outputs with mic'd cabinet emulation, letting you send mix-ready amp tones to a computer DAW or headphones. The direct sound can be shaped with three different Air Feel settings, which are accessible from BOSS Tone Studio. The cabinet is constructed out of MDF with special internal plywood baffling for tight and increased bass response, and houses four custom designed EVH 12” Celestion® speakers voiced specifically for this preamp circuit, so that the pristine cleans and searing high gain tones are tight, clear and articulate.
Sporting distinctive EVH style, the 5150 Iconic Series 4x12 cabinet comes in either a thick textured Black or Ivory vinyl covering with black grille cloth and silver and black 5150 and EVH logo badges.
The cab also has a ¼” parallel speaker input jack, two recessed side-mounted steel bars and removable EVH pop-out casters. A high-quality fitted cover is available as an EVH accessory.
