When it comes to 4x12 cabinets, we offer a choice of two distinct and different sounding/sized quad boxes: our legendary oversized Rectifier® STANDARD and TRADITIONAL Cabinets. RECTIFIER® TRADITIONAL 4x12 CABINETS are three inches shorter than the oversized Standard Rectifier 4x12 (width and depth dimensions are the same). This slight size difference produces a tighter and more focused low-end response, though still delivering massive 4x12 punch and authority. Compared to Standard Recto® 4x12s, the Traditional 4x12 provides more balance between lows, mids and highs and a greater emphasis on attack. The mid-range is more pronounced and this cabinet is often preferred for styles that require tight tracking and articulate response. Straight cabinet designs also provide for a small increase of interior cabinet space, which yeilds slightly more bass and low-end resonance compared to Slants. SLANT-style Recto 4x12 Cabinets offer a ‘monitor’ effect due to the top speakers sloping up toward your ears. This can be a benefit when playing live. Other players prefer the STRAIGHT-style cabinets with all speakers attached to a one-piece baffle and all facing the same direction, effectively ‘coupled’ for maximum punch and frontal projection. Regardless of Slant or Straight, if you are playing a Recto 4x12, your tone has authority, clarity and detail that only MESA® Traditional or Standard 4x12 Rectifier Cabinets deliver. You simply won’t find a better cabinet. ALL MESA® ENCLOSURES are made using the finest Void-free, Marine Grade Baltic Birch. Super strong rabbet corners are glued and nailed. Speaker baffles are fitted with superior dado joint construction and braced. Grilles are wrapped around a separate grille board, not the baffle board. Grille material is made of strong twisted jute dipped in a special coating that filters top end for a sweeter response.

A BOLD NEW RECTIFIER VOICE FOR A NEW ERA
Badlanders arose from our legendary Dual Rectifiers® and feedback from players who used them over decades requesting; “Tighter low end, refined top end, and less mid scoop delivered with MESA gain that feels great and sounds huge.” The BadlanderTM 25 Head delivers that recipe in a small package and power range that adds a raw character all its own. For the guitarist leaning rock who likes some Brit influence with their American-voiced gain, the 25’s appeal is obvious, with many such tones that sound huge through cabinetry while also providing stunning direct performance without live speakers.
The Badlander 25 Head delivers the Rectifier-inspired voice and performance of the Badlander 100 and 50, offering a fiery-sounding, ultra-portable low-power option for those not needing big horsepower. The same simple 2 channel format, each containing Clean, Crunch, and Crush modes repeated, fits perfectly within this small EL84-powered rendering with a fierceness and harmonic complexity all its own.
Key features and options included on the bigger models remain intact, with only the power section, transformers, and chassis getting a make-over. Tonally speaking, choosing a favorite between the 3 models isn’t easy, as each has its own character and application, but the 25 wins hands down for attitude and ease of transport.
Like all Badlanders, the Badlander 25 Head packs our CabCloneTM IR Direct Interface making recording and cab-less live capture easy. The same collection of Rectifier® Closed-Back and Boogie® Open-Back Cabinets from our stand- alone CabClone IR are included and provide a wide array of sounds and responses. For guitarists seeking tube tone and huge sounding gain through cabs or direct, from a package that fits in an overnight bag, the Rectifier Badlander 25 Head rules!

BEAUTIFULLY SIMPLISTIC, TWEED-BASED PERFORMANCE IN A NEW COMPACT PACKAGE
In the twilight of the 1960s, SF Bay Area amp repairman to the Stars, Randall Smith, was inspired to start building his own amplifiers after coming to a deep appreciation for the 50s Tweed circuits developed by Leo Fender. He loved their organic-sounding voice, powerful controls, and the way they smoothly transitioned from clean to clip and back again. Standing on the shoulders of a giant, Smith’s (and the World’s) first venture into boutique guitar amplification resulted in a new Boogie® amp design inspired by that wonderful, timeless-sounding preamp. Five decades later we returned to pay homage with the original California Tweed 4:40. Now, we’ve distilled the essence of that tweed-based performance and authentic 6V6 character in a new, more compact format. A beautifully simplistic design that raises the bar in the world of vintage tone. The NEW CALIFORNIA TWEED™ 2:20 1x10 COMBO.
A quick glance at the front panel of the California Tweed 2:20 reveals single-channel simplicity. Channel features include Normal & Low Inputs, Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, Reverb, & Master Controls. Our legendary vintage all-tube, spring reverb with external reverb switching jack and a fully buffered, tube-driven series FX loop round out a feature set that delivers everything you need for golden tone, and absolutely nothing more.
3 POWER VOICES, ONE SIMPLE SWITCH
The California Tweed 2:20 is powered by 2x6V6 Power Tubes while the preamp features 5x12AX7 and 1x12AT7 preamp tubes. Our patented Incremental Multi-Watt™ (Patent 9,917,560) Power Amp, featuring Duo-Class™ (Patent 7,173,488) and Dyna-Watt™ technologies, provides three power levels, two operating classes, and three wiring options via a single 3-Way Rotary Switch! Choose from the following power options:
• 20 Watts - 2x6V6 Class A/B Pentode – Fixed Bias • 10 Watts - 2x6V6 Class A/B Triode – Fixed Bias • 1 Watt - 1x6V6 Pentode, Single-Ended Class A – Cathode Bias
Fixed Bias (20 and 10-Watt Modes) and Cathode Bias (1-Watt Mode) both provide consistent, maintenance-free performance.
SINGLE CHANNEL SIMPLICITY
The California Tweed 2:20 features a single channel with Normal (clean to overdrive) and Low (clean) Inputs, Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, Reverb, and Master Controls, giving you everything you need to dial up your ideal TONE quickly and easily. The Vintage All-Tube Spring Reverb is equipped with an external reverb switching jack (footswitch and cable sold separately) for remote activation.
THE PERFECT PARTNER FOR YOUR PEDALS
Whether you choose to run your pedals straight into the input or through the included fully buffered, tube-driven series FX loop, the California Tweed 2:20 delivers an ideal platform for pedal users in a compact 26.4-pound 1x10 combo that expands vintage tone and defines portability.
The California Tweed series is what we like to call “Vintage Expanded.” When it comes to vintage, low-wattage tone and feel, no amp offers more than the new California Tweed 2:20! Harken back, bounce on forward, while never sacrificing one drop of golden California Tone.

Over 40 Years of Randall Smith's Innovation in One Amp
IT TOOK 40 YEARS of Randall Smith's experience designing high-performance tube amplifiers to get this much TONE under one roof and keep it easy to dial. More than a collection of amplifiers, the MARK V™ is a living history of MESA's® contributions and a tribute to the evolution of electric guitar tone.
The MARK V™ is really a collection of amplifiers. There are far too many circuits and sounds to think of it as merely an amp. It is also a living history of our company. From the groundbreaking MARK I™ that introduced the world to high gain with its cascading preamp, to the Mark II™, the world’s first high-gain Dual Mode Channel Switching amplifier and its later siblings that introduced Simul-Class™ power. From the MARK III™ that ushered in the era of 3-channel footswitching performance, to the MARK IV™ which gave all this power individual control, the MARK V is the embodiment of the last 40 years of guitar amp history.
THEY'RE ALL HERE: the MARK I, the MARK IIC+, the MARK IV…all these are faithful recreations that benefit from our decades of refinement and leave many saying they're better than the originals! More than our Greatest Hits, you'll also find some new Brit-inspired circuits here that rival these classic Boogie® sounds, and are destined to become iconic on their own merit.
9 AMPLIFIERS IN 1 WITH 9 PATENTS DEFINING A HISTORY OF INNOVATION
9 Amplifiers in 1: A lifetime investment. No less than 9 patents stand guard over your Tone, ensuring your investment will be protected and your amp will hold its value (MARK IICs and MARK IVs still sell for more than their original purchase price). Beware of imitators! Fine musical instruments never go out of style and the Mark V is no exception.
Like its predecessor the MARK IV—in steady production for over 19 years—the MARK V is an investment in your musical future. The 9 preamps and 3 power amps it contains trace their roots back to the beginnings of amplified guitar. Yet while their lineage is time tested, the performance they unleash is brand new and cutting edge. This collection of amps will propel you through any musical style and project, and band any era of your development with confidence and command.
3 FOOTSWITCHABLE CHANNELS, 3 MODES PER CHANNEL
3 distinct Channels present the 3 footswitchable sounds in a simple to dial platform, but don't let that fool you… beneath each set of controls lies another layer of performance. Each preamp Channel contains 3 distinct Modes that are controlled by a simple mini-toggle MODE switch found in the upper left corner of each Channel, which is responsible for the voicing of each Channel.
MULTI-WATT™ POWER
The Mark V features our popular channel assignable Multi-Watt™ Power that determines the amount (wattage) and type (configuration) of power each preamp channel will be coupled with to create a classic sound via independent channel switches. Any amplifier's sound is 50% preamp and 50% power, so these switches are responsible for a large part of a given Channel's personality and feel. The choices repeat for all 3 Channels and they are 90W, 45W and 10 W. Using the switch is simple: just select the power/feel you want for each Channel, keeping in mind that the greatest headroom, focus and authority will always be found in the 90 watt position.
ICONIC BOOGIE® 5-BAND GRAPHIC EQ
Each Channel is fitted with a mini-toggle to select the 5 Band Graphic EQ, but the fun doesn't stop there. The MARK V gives you the choice of two ways to utilize the power of the Graphic EQ for each Channel! The mini-toggle within each Channel (center mini-toggle) allows you to decide whether you want the EQ on all the time in that Channel, off all the time or activated by the EQ button on the Footswitch.
A separate set of mini toggles to select SLIDERS or PRESET for each Channel (located in the left side of the Graphic EQ section) allows you to select whether you will use the actual SLIDERS to shape your individual EQ curve or, a PRESET contour based on the ever-popular "V" curve. The ability to choose between these two options when assigning the Graphic EQ to your sounds gives you ultimate flexibility when dedicating the Channels. By combining subtle blends of the Tone controls with the EQ options, virtually any sound you can imagine is at your fingertips.
LEGENDARY SIMUL-CLASS™ POWER
Since 1981, Simul-Class™ Power has been the heart and soul of the MARK Series amplifiers, imparting its sweet, musical character onto any sound in the vast library of the now classic MARK legacy. The Mark V proudly carries that legacy forward with Cleans that shimmer with transparent layers of sweet delicate highs, while the bottom end breathes a warm fundamental under a bed of rich low mid ambience. Never harsh, always fat, the Simul-Class lead tone is the quintessential single-note solo sound that is best described with a human trait…VOCAL.
The MARK V provides access an unprecedented number of tone shaping features. At first glance it might seem a little intimidating but with a second look you’ll discover that it’s very intuitive, as each channel has the same basic features repeated - Once you know one, you basically know them all. Better yet, we designed the Mark V to deliver exceptional, fast and easy “plug-and-play” convenience. You’ll be amazed by the instant tonal gratification from each channel, as well as its ease of tonal “dial-ability” to find YOUR signature sound.
With so many innovative features, the Mark V may well just be our most versatile amplifier. Visit a dealer today and hear the magic of the MARK V, as there is truly no other like it.

The MARK FIVE: 25, like the MARK V™, is really a collection of iconic amplifiers. There are far too many circuits and sounds to think of it as merely an amp—it’s a living history of MESA/Boogie! From the groundbreaking MARK I™ that introduced the world to high-gain with its cascading preamp, to the MARK II™, the world’s first high-gain Dual Mode Channel Switching amplifier (and its later siblings that introduced Simul-Class™ power).
From the MARK III™ that ushered in the era of 3 Channel foot switching performance, to the MARK IV™ which gave all that power individual control, the MARK V (and now the FIVE: 25) is the embodiment of guitar-amp evolution that started right here at Boogie back in 1969. Packing the legendary preamp TONE, stylistic versatility and aggressiveness of the MARK IIC+™, MARK IV and MARK V, the new MARK FIVE: 25 combines the power of our most famous Mark Series preamps with our exclusive Dyna-Watt™ 2xEL84 power section to create a new Mark Series amp of unprecedented portability, clip-ability and high-speed, tactile expressiveness. The result is a new bench-MARK, every bit worthy of its ancestor’s storied heritage.
MIND-BLOWING PERFORMANCE IN COMPACT HEAD OR 1X10 COMB0 + OPTIONAL 1X10 EXTENSION CAB!
Now with the inclusion of the smallest Mark Series Combo and 1X10 EXTENSION ever, all this historic Tone awaits in a grab and go format that looks demure and jewel-like, yet sounds formidable, if not mind-blowing. Physics seems to take a holiday as you experience the ferociousness of these 1x10 models. Like the original MARK I Boogie that started it all, this tiny new MARK sneaks in like a Mouse, but showing up to testify for its mighty roots, roars like a Lion once it starts speaking. Whether you choose the Head and an Extension or two, or the 1x10 Combo for ultimate portability, the MARK FIVE:25 unveils a new and exciting version of a classic. A bit more chime, shred and slightly tucked low end that is perfect, even perhaps preferable for some, surprises you here in a package you have to hear to believe, and just can’t help but smile upon. Whether introducing the MARK heritage to a new generation of low wattage devotees or fulfilling the ultra-portable Tone Dreams of steadfast MARK Series fans, the MARK FIVE: 25 has got what it takes to inspire and fuel your passion in the most manageable package ever!
$ 2,524.00 $ 3,276.00
The MARK FIVE: 25™, now in a 16.5 lbs., 14" wide head or 15”x14”, 24 lb. Combo, delivers 2 Channels, 6 Modes and essentially a “greatest hits” collection of our renowned Mark Series preamp circuits served up with a brash attitude packaged in two unbelievably small formats!
In this small but mighty 25-watt incarnation, the sounds and attributes that make MARK Series amps so popular on stage and in the studio are not only shrunk to their smallest possible physical size, but are also further refined and improved. The gorgeous sparkling Cleans and soaring high gain Lead sounds have made the jump successfully across output tube platforms and a new and exciting timbre of the MARK Series voice is created here in the MARK FIVE: 25’s EL84 Duet. Brighter, tighter, more shredding in the top end, a bit more forgiving in feel and exceedingly more clip-able, the MARK FIVE: 25 is right on time.
