Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1979 Kirk Hammett Flying V Replica Aged Electric Guitar - Ebony

Gibson

$ 14,999.00 $ 17,998.00

Metallica fans worldwide are familiar with Kirk Hammett's 1979 Flying V. It was Kirk's first Gibson and established his passion for Gibson guitars. Its purchase was inspired by famous Flying V players Kirk admired and because he was looking for a fuller sound. And what a sound! Kirk still plays the original guitar to this day, and used it on all the early Metallica albums, including Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All, and The Black Album, making it one of the most important heavy metal guitars of all time. Only 200 were hand-made by the expert luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, artfully aged to match the original by the Murphy Lab. The included Certificate of Authenticity photo is signed by Kirk Hammett himself.

Gibson ES-335 50s Electric Guitar - Vintage Natural

Gibson

$ 3,499.00 $ 4,198.00

At Gibson, we know that players have distinct preferences when it comes to their instruments. Some gravitate toward certain models, and many have strong attachments to specific production periods due to differences in finishes, pickup designs, subtle component changes (such as pickguards, inlays, and plastics), and evolving neck profiles. Our Les Paul Standard 50s and 60s models have been embraced by musicians for exactly these reasons, offering the ability to choose the feel and features that suit them best. Now, ES-335™ fans can enjoy the same level of choice with the arrival of the ES-335 50s and ES-335 60s.

The ES-335 50s revives the foundational elements of the earliest ES-335 guitars introduced in 1958. Its semi-hollow, thinline body is constructed from three-ply maple, poplar, and maple, paired with a solid maple centerblock that enhances sustain and significantly curbs feedback. Single-ply cream binding along the top and back adds a clean, vintage-inspired accent.

True to the original run of ES-335 models, the mahogany neck is carved to a substantial Rounded C profile that offers a full, comfortable feel. The bound rosewood fretboard features 22 medium jumbo frets and traditional acrylic dot inlays, echoing the look of the first "dot neck" ES-335 instruments. Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, working alongside the Graph Tech® nut, provide impressive tuning stability. The headstock is also dressed with a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and crown inlav.

On the opposite end of the strings, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™M bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece contribute to the guitar's strong sustain while allowing precise adjustment of action and individual intonation settings.

A pair of Custombucker pickups with Alnico 3 magnets powers the ES-335 50s, delivering the sought-after sound associated with the earliest Patent Applied For humbucker™M pickups from the late 1950s. Each pickup is connected to its own hand-wired 500k volume and tone control, and together with the three-way toggle switch, they offer the wide-ranging tonal flexibility that has defined the ES-335 for decades.

A '59-style, five-ply long pickguard and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers round out the 50s-inspired aesthetic. Offered in Vintage Tobacco Burst, Vintage Natural, and Ebony gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes, the ES-335 50s comes with a Gibson hardshell case. For lavers who favor the fuller neck profile and visual styling of the earliest ES-335 models, this version captures the essence of the quitars that have remained beloved for more than 60 ears.

Gibson ES-335 60s Electric Guitar - Dark Walnut

Gibson

$ 3,499.00 $ 4,198.00

Guitarists know what they like, and at Gibson, we've long recognized that those preferences can be highly specific. Some musicians connect with one model over another, and many gravitate toward particular model-year eras because of shifts in color options, pickup choices, subtle feature differences (such as pickguards, inlays, and plastics), and changing neck profiles. Our Les Paul™M Standard 50 and 60s models have resonated with players for exactly that reason, offering a way to choose the feel and features that suit them best. With that same philosophy in mind, we're now extending this approach to ES-335™ enthusiasts with the release of the ES-335 50s and ES-335 60s.

The ES-335 60s captures the essential characteristics of early 1960s ES-335 instruments. Its semi-hollow, thinline body is constructed from three-ply maple, poplar, and maple, paired with a solid maple centerblock that enhances sustain while significantly minimizing feedback. Single-ply cream binding along the top and back adds a refined visual touch.

True to the early 60s originals, the mahogany neck features the Slim Taper ™ profile, offering a sleeker, faster feel than the thicker Rounded C profile found on the ES-335 50s. The bound rosewood fretboard includes 22 medium jumbo frets and small block acrylic inlays, delivering the familiar look of classic 60s ES-335 models.

High-quality Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with milk bottle buttons work seamlessly with the Graph Tech® nut to ensure exceptional tuning stability. A mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and crown inlay adorn the headstock.

At the opposite end of the strings, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic ™ bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece contribute to the guitar's excellent sustain and offer full control over action height and individual intonation adjustments.

A pair of calibrated T-Type humbucker™ pickups with Alnico 5 magnets powers the ES-335 60s, delivering the unmistakable character of vintage Gibson T-Top humbucker™M tones. Each pickup connects to its own hand-wired 500k volume and tone controls, and together with the three-way toggle switch, they provide the broad tonal palette that has defined the ES-335 for generations.

A five-ply, 60s-style pickguard, along with black Top Hat knobs featuring reflectors and dial pointers, completes the period-inspired aesthetic. Available in Vintage Burst, Sixties Cherry, and Dark Walnut gloss nitrocellulose finishes, the ES-335 60s ships with a Gibson hardshell case. For players who favor the streamlined neck shape and visual style of 60s-era ES-335 designs, this model delivers the feel and sound that have made these instruments cherished for more than six decades.

Gibson Firebird Platypus Electric Guitar - Heritage Cherry Sunburst

Gibson

$ 2,499.00 $ 2,998.00

Paying tribute to the rare transitional models from 1965

In early 1965, the original Firebird™ design transitioned through several different iterations. One of the significant transitions that occurred flipped the headstock to the “Non-Reverse” shape. Unlike the original Reverse Firebird headstock design, which featured a two-layered headstock with a holly veneer, the new headstock was flat, like the bill of a platypus. The Platypus-style Firebird featured six-in-line tuners rather than the banjo-style tuners that were used on previous Firebird models. The Firebird Platypus pays tribute to those rare transitional models. It features a mahogany body with a glued-in, set neck and the appearance of a traditional neck-through Reverse Firebird body. The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper™ profile and a rosewood fretboard with a 12” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and acrylic trapezoid inlays and sports the Platypus-style headstock with a Graph Tech® nut and Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners. The Platypus-style headstock has been slightly modified to provide straight string pull for less friction and improved tuning stability. The other ends of the strings are routed over a Nashville Tune-O-Matic™ bridge for precise intonation and solidly anchored with an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece for outstanding sustain. The Firebird is one of the most distinctive-looking guitar designs ever, and the Firebird Platypus takes this legendary guitar a step further with its unique appearance. Its tone is just as unique due to its two articulate, historically accurate Firebird mini humbucker™ pickups. They are equipped with Alnico 5 magnets and can deliver tones with a nearly bell-like chime when played clean and great rock and blues tones that easily cut through the mix when pushed. Individual volume and tone controls allow you to tailor the sound even further, and of course, the pickguard features the legendary hot-stamped Firebird graphic. A Gibson hardshell case is also included.

Gibson Jake Kiszka SG Standard Electric Guitar - Faded Vintage Cherry

Gibson

Sold Out $ 2,998.00

Jake Kiszka, acclaimed guitarist and founding member of rock 'n' roll powerhouse Greta Van Fleet, has carved out a signature approach defined by intensity, nuance, and unwavering creative vision.

His connection to his treasured 1961 SG™M extends far beyond admiration; it's a bond shaped through years of exploration. As Jake notes, "The '61, this particular model, has defined me as a player, and I think I've defined it in return." For decades, the Gibson SG has stood at the center of rock 'n' roll's evolution, favored by artists who push boundaries and reimagine the genre. The new Jake Kiszka S Standard honors that legacy, crafted from mahogany and metal with precision and purpose at Gibson's Nashville headquarters.

This limited-edition instrument pays tribute to the legendary '61 S, with its unmistakable double-cutaway silhouette and pronounced bevels that evoke generations of rock storytelling. Its Slim Taper™ neck, carved from mahogany, invites expressive playing along a rosewood fretboard fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and accented by glowing acrylic trapezoid inlays. A Graph Tech® nut partners with Gibson Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons to deliver exceptional tuning dependability.

At the other end, the strings ride across an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge for complete control over action and intonation, then anchor into a stop tailpiece concealed beneath a Sideways Vibrola™ cover. The Vibrola tailpiece has been internally modified and secured so it remains decorative rather than functional, mirroring the appearance of Jake's own beloved 1961 SG, the Beloved, while providing the stability and performance of a fixed tailpiece. Once a tool for experimental bends and shimmering effects, the immobilized Vibrola now serves as a visual homage and a symbol of modern reliability.

Jake also opted for subtle updates to the electronics compared to a vintage 1961 SG. His model features a pair of T-Type humbuckers™, a duo capable of delivering searing highs, articulate clarity, and dynamic punch. Each pickup is paired with independent volume and tone controls, complemented by Orange Drop® tone capacitors.

Handbuilt at the Gibson factory, the Jake Kiszka SG Standard features a Faded Vintage Cherry gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish and ships in a black Modern hardshell case emblazoned with a Jake Kiszka doubloon logo graphic. The guitar arrives with a standard backplate installed, and the case includes a separate hand-signed and stamped Jake Kiszka backplate, along with a custom leather strap enhanced with a metallic coin pendant designed by Jake.

With Greta Van Fleet achieving chart success around the world, Jake Kiszka's impact on a new wave of players is unmistakable. His Gibson SG has been a constant partner throughout his rise.

Now the Jake Kiszka S Standard offers that same spirit to players everywhere. Available only in limited numbers, this is your chance to make it your own.

Gibson Kirk Hammett “Greeny” Signature Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar - Greeny Burst

Gibson

$ 2,999.00 $ 3,598.00

The story of "Greeny" is shrouded in mystery, but few guitars are as illustrious. Greeny is one of the most iconic original Les Paul Standards ever made, with a unique sound as recognizable as the guitar itself. Previously owned by Peter Green, it was used throughout his time with Fleetwood Mac and later sold to Gary Moore, who used it for three decades with Thin Lizzy and as a solo artist. Now owned by Kirk Hammett, Greeny has passed through the hands of three legendary guitarists. Its distinctive sound is partly from the out-of-phase middle switch position due to the neck pickup's reversed magnetic polarity. The Kirk Hammett "Greeny" Les Paul Standard was inspired by this legendary guitar and gives players around the world the opportunity to experience some of the magic of "Greeny" for themselves. An Original Series hardshell case is included.

Gibson Les Paul Custom 70s Electric Guitar - Butter Cream

Gibson

$ 3,999.00 $ 4,798.00

The wait is over–the Les Paul Custom is back!

The Les Paul™ Custom was first introduced in 1953 as an upscale version of the Les Paul model. The model was requested by Les Paul himself, who wanted a black version of the Les Paul guitar that “looked like a tuxedo.” In 1961, the single cutaway Les Paul Custom was discontinued in favor of a new double-cutaway model that would later become known as the SG™ Custom, and the original single cutaway model was reintroduced in 1968. During the 1970s, production of the Les Paul Custom transitioned from Kalamazoo to Nashville, and the Les Paul Custom received various changes that further refined the model, including a multi-piece maple top that replaced the original all-mahogany-body construction along with a new maple neck. Today, these 70s-era Les Paul Customs are some of the fastest-appreciating guitars on the vintage market. Now, after 20 years of offering the Les Paul Custom only through Gibson Custom, Gibson is proud to release the Les Paul Custom 70s. It features classic 1970s specs, including a mahogany body with a three-piece maple top. The body is bound with 5-ply top binding and 3-ply back binding. The maple neck has a 70s profile and a volute and is topped with a bound ebony fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl block inlays. The bound headstock is also adorned with mother-of-pearl in the form of the famous Custom Split Diamond mother-of-pearl headstock inlay, which originated with the Gibson Super 400 and has become synonymous with the Les Paul Custom. The Les Paul Custom 70s features gold hardware, including an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and smooth-turning Grover® Rotomatic® with Keystone button tuners for reliable tuning stability. Even the smallest details have been recreated, including Posi-Lok™ strap locks, a 5-ply pickguard, and 70s-era-approved Witch Hat control knobs. The electronics are also era-appropriate, with a pair of Calibrated T-Type humbuckers™ with individual volume and tone controls that are hand-wired to Orange Drop® capacitors. The Les Paul Custom 70s is available in four gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes, including Ebony, Tobacco Burst, Wine Red, and even a version with a beautiful Buttercream Top, and each comes packed in a hardshell case for protection when it’s in storage and traveling. The wait is over–The Les Paul Custom has returned to the Gibson USA lineup and is ready to rock your world!
